Don't shoot the messenger...

The only silver lining in this situation is that the offense may adopt a more balanced approach. This could result in more wins not less. I think it would be great to see the vols rush for 250 yards in a game. You live by the pass you die by the pass. Throwing 45 times a game stops the clock and you lose time of possesion which will determine how effective your defense is in 4th quarter.

What does that say about the scheme / plan that our offensive coaches have been laying out since Spring. More to the point, what would this say about the quality of said coaches?

sounds the gators are skeered this year.. they are on here whining, but, but, but, but, he will be back for the florida game.....

Dooley said he probably won't be back this year. I heard he has an insider he gets his info from.

He said he don't "expect" him to be back. You can read that two ways. I tend to think that Dooley meant it that he don't think Da'Rick will do what it takes to come back. I guess we'll see soon enough.

GBO!!!

You are most correct. If we can rush for 250 yards per game this season, we'll be playing in Atlanta 2 times this year. Honestly, I think we would be looking at Atlanta most every year if we could do that.

GBO!!!

there is a post on TOS will a guy saying "I've been told da' rick will be back by the 2nd game, So far the person who told me this hasn't been wrong about anything else. Same one that gave me the details on Cam Clear's and Brent Brewer's situations".

So who knows, he goes on to say

"Could be wrong for the first time, but since this person is good friends with the team and Da'Rick I'll believe it until I have to otherwise.."

TIFWIW :peace2:

I have seen you make solid posts like this before. I hope you are right again but if not somebody will step up.

The only thing that has me puzzled is where is DaRick On Twitter, or in the Media Bashing the School likes he likes to do. Leads me to believe he is holding out hope on returning, even if the door has been officially closed.

The way I look at it is, If he is off the team then good Riddance we didn't need him any way, way overrated, the team is better off without him, IMO.

If he comes back then, boy did we dodge a bullet there, Our season would have went down the team without our best player, Welcome back young man, we need you.

Seems like most of the players think that he will be SP two games and return for FL. I have heard this from quite a few people with ties with players. Maybe they are just wishful thinking.

What's keeping someone from filing an open records request with the University to get some answers on this situation? (similar to the Andre Lott/VFL situation) Too soon in the process?

Doesn't apply.

A student's academic status and/or record (academic, disciplinary, or otherwise) is confidential.

Doc...Correct me if I am wrong, but I think it is basically set up the same way it is with a doctors and a patient...

The only way the the records could be released is that DR signed a release to specific person or group giving them permission to see them...

Again I may be wrong about that...

I'm not sure there is a release form for that... It's set up so parents can't harrass the universities on behalf of a legal adult. ... I think. Could be wrong though.

Sigh. Rogers is gone. Won't be coming back. People are reading to much into this. He is no longer a Volunteer. Still gonna stomp the wolfpups.

whatever dooley is gonna do, he needs to hurry up and do it announce it, and get it DONE! dont want team distractions the week of our game. Winning this first game is CRUCIAL
