We do not need Neyland Stadium turning into a sea of red.
Make sure you use them or an orange clad fan uses them.
Support the program instead of going for the quick buck selling them on ebay. Two years ago was a sad sight inside Neyland.

Was there two years ago and it was pathetic, might as well have been an away game.

So if a UT fan can make a big profit on his tickets, he shouldn't sell to anybody wearing crimson? Ridiculous!

"Summer's Eve" Hamilton has created an environment of money rather than fans. I don't blame anyone that sells tickets to visiting fans at a profit. I will be there in my seats but if I was unable to go, it would be the highest available buyer without regard to choice of clothing color. Until Hamilton is replaced and the athletic department places a value on fans, I won't place that value on them either.

When it comes to selling tickets, green should be the only color that matters!! I sometimes sell my tickets as well. I would like for it to be a "home team" fan but you gotta go with who offers the most.

I was there two years ago, by the forth quarter it was pretty bad. I shudder to think what this year could be like with bama coming off a NC and their bandwagon fans coming out of the wood work. Oh well ill still be there.

I was there two years ago too, and it was a complete embarrassment. It looked like Bryant Denny stadium instead of Neyland. I can still hear that obnoxious yellow hammer chant. If I can't make it to the Alabama game, I will give my tickets away or just eat them. They will not be sold to a Bammer.

y'all sure have been awfully demanding this season. I've seen at least two or three threads each week demanding Vol fans to:

stand up a cheer.
sit down and shut up.
dont sell tickets to (fill in the blank)
dont leave early.
if they suck, we should all leave early.
dont sing the "Wooooo"
"Woooo" your freakin butt off!
dont give back a football if its thrown at you.
be nice to old folks.
dont bring your infant child.
wear Orange!!!!
wear white!!!!
dont wear black!!! its not our color....

ect....

Its damn tough to get y'all satisfied.

why ya'll trying to discriminate against interstate commerce? Kidding, but seriously, why don't we just set up road blocks and turn away anyone with bammer gear in their car. Or I know, how about we just put sugar in their gas tanks friday night? Since im currently in bama ill get right on that...

If you bought your tickets planning to use the tickets but cannoot attend then there is no reason to sell the tickets. Put em in a shredder if you cannot find a vol fan to give them to. If you are a ticket scalper, it's a different story.

I'll be at the game. Unfortunately, I think this year will likely be even worse than 08. Tickets for Bama home games are selling at an all time high, so Knoxville may be a more afordable alternative for Bama fans.

I sold my UT-FL tickets to a Florida fan....luckily I will be able to go the the Alabama game or the tickets would go to who would pay more, that simple.

I used to hawk tickets and knew (almost) all the sellers that were regulars. For many years-60s some,70's sometimes, 80's and on... a lot. Local Vols' fans probably still recognize many of them week in week out. Some are probably still doing it that I knew then. I only started doing to get good seats for my family and friends, but found out a few hours could get mad money for a week or so...and it was lots of fun. My kids used to hang with me on occasion.

You can believe me or choose not to...but almost all of the scalpers I knew were Vols fans 1st and we made our money on other games besides bama-but still did well at bama games. I have ignored bama fans and given dozens of tickets away for half what they offered and watched others do the same. Some were mad enough to threaten, but I never had anything bad happen. Some years it was extended to Georgia, Florida and Auburn, but always bama. It was almost professional pride. That changed over the years somewhat, but not much until the late 90's, IMO.
One friend of mine used to announce how much a victory was worth every bama day by saying "...I'm willing to give 100 bucks (or whatever) to beat bama today...what about you, fireball? Don't sell your tickets to those rednecks." There're all kinds of traditions.

I don't think you can put much store in what the butt-numbed internet warriors on an internet site have to say about being satisfied or otherwise. Pep rallies on Friday night, Tailgates, Gameday activities around fans (including some from here) etc. would put you in the ballpark, though. :p

It's a long story having to do with money, timing, and work but I can either get 4 tickets in real good seats and bring two other UT fans and 1 Bama fan or not get those tickets and the owner will sell them to whomever pays and for a lot more money...I'm thinking great seats and 3:1 ratio of orange I should be okay...plus I think I'm going to force him to wear gray

Edit: By the way, at UT/UF game I had great season ticket seats (same 4) and the five seats directly behind me were 5 Florida students (heard "can't believe we bought these great of seats off that guy"); 4 out of 5 of them were actually okay (one was a hot girl) and they made realistic observations about the game and play...one about got his ass beat by me and some random UT fan with a Crown flask in one pocket and a flask of "brown" (whatever the heck that is) in the other pocket I think...by the way, even after that and being in Commonwealth, Columbia, Sanford, and at the Grove...UGA fans are by far the worst..don't necessarily have anything against UGA as a team...absolutely still can't stand the fans

I went to a Colts game about 5 years ago before they tore down the RCA Dome and bought my ticket off of stubhub before everyone knew about stubhub.

I bought one lower level seat in the donor section. I wore my #18 Colts jersey and took my seat before the game. Icy stares all around me. It got a little uncomfortable actually.

Finally, the old guy sitting next to me says "How did you get hold of Harold's ticket?" I explained I didn't know the guy but just bought the ticket he put up for sale on stubhub. Didn't register.

I think they all thought I must've killed the guy and taken his ticket. I don't think they believed the guy would sell his ticket to an outsider.

I have heard this almost universally from fans of every SEC East school (except Georgia). The only other name that gets thrown around that often is LSU. Florida is a distant 3rd.

Bama fans will pay whatever it takes to get tickets to any game. A couple of their fans at my office already paid $300 per ticket for some extras to the florida game this week!
