that the offense is horrible. There's not a coach in the country that could turn Crompton into a division 1 quarterback. If you want to blame anyone blame Fullmer for recruiting and playing him. Worst QB I have seen at Tennessee in 30 years.

I do blame Clawson for not recognizing the limitations of his starting quarterback and making approriate adjustments. Crompton is horrible, but Clawson should have dumbed down the playbook a long time before the UCLA game.

You don't think he's dumbed it down more and more even before the season?? Cromp just can't handle game speed plain and simple. The offense was COMPLETELY different in the spring. However, he was reading our second team defense as well as wearing the green jersey.

I would go to the 60's style Alabama wishbone if my QB were anything like what I've seen thus far. Might not win, but it would give us a chance.

Dumb down? We are throwing 5 yard incomplete passes and the QB can not hand the ball off. What adjustment can we make with Crompton?:dunno:

how simple can clawson make it. any more simple and crompton could only hand off. it wasn't clawson's fault that crompton was throwing it 20 yards out of bounds

Our Offense would then be totally predictable....and just as inept.

We've had Cut, Sanders, Cut again and now Clawson. But honestly I cannot tell the difference in the overall offensive game plan which is run, run, short passes, run more, short passes, run, run, anther short pass etc....But we still have the same HC:crazy:

Volzilla :bad:

i feel cut or sanders could have made him a little better though....look what the 2 did w/ ainge btwn soph and jr year....he's a bad qb but i dont think clawson's a good qb guru either

It wouldn't matter if Clawson dumbed it down to the original Tecmo Bowl playbook if all Crompton can do is throw it at the receiver's ankles or ten yards out of bounds.

I only blame Clawson for not standing his ground to Fulmer and play another QB. BUT, if he is the one sticking with Crompton, bad hire, IMHO.
