Stats do not mean everything. We had the lead late against Oklahoma and Georgia yet multiple very quick 3 and outs with horrible play calling that kept them and ultimately won them the games. This needs to fixed too, not just the defense

He definitely isn’t creative with the running game. Just tries to run it up the middle every time. Also, gets very conservative at inexplicable times.

The problem is that we haven’t had a defense because the head coach refuses to move on from a defensive coordinator that is in over his head in the SEC. I think pretty much every Tennessee fan would like to see how far this team could go if we ever had a good offense and defense in the same year. We have not had that a single season so far under Heupel.

One reason for Vandy's oldest roster are the 20 upperclassmen signed from the portal that
they have. How many transfers did we sign that helped us? Maybe 4 or 5? That is part of
our youth and inexperience. We are not effectively utilizing the portal the way Vandy
and Kiffin are.

I’ve defended Heupel but I also agree to an extent that he needs to let Banks go and upgrade his staff.

I think he can be a great coach here but if he doesn’t want to make the necessary changes to be great, then that’s on him.
