Put aside the "unnatural lifestyle" and race angles for a minute. The issue at hand here is discrimination and when and where you draw the line for discrimination being allowed by the military as it pertains to granting entry into the armed services.

Now for the unnatural lifestyle issue that is yet to be determined. Neither you nor I can say whether sexual preferences are "hard wired" or simply a choice. I can say that I believe there is probably some of both going on as it pertains to gay men and women but I don't know for sure and neither do you.

The core issue here is being discriminatory towards a group of people. If men and women want to serve with honor as so many have in the past (while being forced to deny who they are in public) then I have no problem with that. The way I see it is those who do not wish to serve with honor will be drummed out much as their heterosexual counterparts are.

I look at it from a point that God will not bless a country who intentionally go against what he says is wrong. It's one thing making mistakes but when a nation passes laws and support lifestyles or issues that against His will, He's going to judge them.

the huge majority of people that serve are very conservative and have a standard of morals. when you basicaly spit in the face of these people, they'll have no reason to stay in.

so based on your comment above, you (and most on this board) would have no problem if a group of pedophile wanted to join?
