but, im a little confused. Why, with those gaudy #'s is worley not a 5 star QB? Parade AA broke most all passing records in S.C. I just dont get this rating system. We are very lucky, especially the way bray came along, with his own gaudy #'s, to have this kid. Show the vol nation what you got. Welcome, and i mean welcome ! Never too many great QB's. :loco:

Not to hijack your thread, but when I saw the title I was hoping SGM had started it.

The "experts" view Worley as a system QB whatever that means. You still gotta make the throws. I personally think it is because he committed to Tennessee early. It is great to have him.

Because he committed to us early and enrolled early. I have a feeling if he hadn't been an EE his stars would have risen.

But to answer your question, no he not a five star. The analyst wont give the bump because they gave him the "system qb" label.

He graded low due to the perceived qualities:

1) System QB
2) weak arm
3) long release

Though, guys like Sam Bradford had similar criticisms. Only time will tell the truth of things.

so how many td's would a man have to throw for in a System to be a five star? i mean if a guys numbers are low in a wishbone and he's a four star qb.... what numbers must you achieve in a System to be considered having elite potential... if worley played in fla or texas he'd be getting the pub brothers... for sure... the way he evaded clowney was enough for me to sign him

QBs like Favre & Pennington show why we need to go ahead and play the season before handing out the glass trophy. Arian Foster was not drafted, and I thot they were spot on.

Dont know SGM, but after reading some post on here, i know u guys are being polite. Thnx ! Back to the topic. Maybe the early signing does play into it. I do agree that there is a bias projection against TN, dont really understand why, but sometimes its pretty obvious to me. Would love to see a comparison of stats with the top 5 QB's in this class.

There is no number. It's much like Tim Tebow at UF. He broke basically all the records there were to break in college, but pro scouts are never going to see him as anything other than a system QB. Too many of the things he does well have never been shown to work well in the NFL. That's not to say he can't have a successful pro career, just that scouts are going to see what he does, and know that from what they've seen in the past, his game hasn't been shown to translate to the NFL.

Doesn't really matter...but I think Worley and Randolph are both ballers.

It's crazy with Worley and Randolph! Worley National Player of the Year,South Carolina Player of the Year(not Clowney) and named AA. Randolph was the Georgia Defensive player of year, named AA(not Drew,Wright or Johnson) Both good students BR (4.3) and both low 3*'s. I'll take them and a bunch more just like them!!!
