Percentages paint a better picture for Obama so Luthervol will disregard all other numbers and he'll justify percentages as the be all end all until you give up. I suggest you give up now.

Not looking for another debate. My point is not that great. I only wish to show that there are two sides to the picture and we only see one (over and over and over again) on this site. Obama wasn't as horrible as many continually portray and his predecessors weren't as good as many continue to believe. That's my only intent.

He's already duped me into the conversation twice and now he's doing it again with others. He thinks he has an ace, so he keeps playing it.

It's not much of an ace, maybe a jack. But when you're playing cards with some of these guys, it doesn't take much. They continually bet the house on a pair of twos and think that it beats a straight.

Ok company A revenue grows from $5.00 to 10.00 the following year which is 100% growth and company B grows from 10 trillion to 15 trillion in revenue which is still a 50% percent increase.

Is your answer still the same?

Answer would be completely different. B no longer has diminishing growth but now A does. I think both net change and rate of change are important and should be considered. People should consider both when evaluating the performance of the presidents.

Bush Sr, Clinton, Bush Jr and Obama were all terrible. Obama was the worst of the bunch. Trump will be terrible in his own way. No POTUS is great and I highly doubt one will be in our lifetimes. I just hope that Trump is a little less terrible than the idiots before him.

Such a detailed and astute evaluation.

If I were to give my honest opinion and rank those guys...

1. Clinton. Economy boomed. Debt down.
2. Obama. Nothing spectacular
3. Bush Sr. Nothing pro or con.
4. Bush Jr. Was in command when the economy tanked and got us into a completely unnecessary war for which we will pay for generations.

Thing is that war and every other poor decision he and his dad made added together didnt put this country in as much debt as obamas 11 trillion did. So luthers percentages and all that other crap dont add up.

Debt is measured in dollars.

Obama added more dollars in debt than ALL OTHER PRESIDENTS COMBINED DID.

FACTS AND DOLLARS. THEY MATTER.

Not sure where you got your DOLLAR FACTS.

But your "fact" that all 3 combined was less than Obama is not accurate. I'm sure there is some site that will mirror your statement.

There is much discussion on how to accurately determine debt added by each President. I've found that the method described on thebalance.Com to be the most reasonable without the partisan rhetoric. TIFWIW.

Obama added $7.917T
W. added $5.849T
Clinton added $1.396T
H.W. added $1.554T
Reagan added $1.86T

Keep in mind that H.W. was only Prez for 4 years. This site also will provide the stats on percentage of increase.

To be fair, the debt wasn't actually down during Clinton's run. The budget was balanced though....

Also, the economy tanked while Bush was in office thanks to policies put in place long before his first term..... I won't name names

I know there were a ton of signs that Trump wasn't qualified for this job, but its just stunning to see how quickly things are getting out of control.

I think the Mar-a-Lago incident is a big deal that's being buried today (cant believe that was only yesterday), it's been reported as a security issue with classified material, which it is, but it's clear that Trump failed his first DPRK test spectacularly. He looked weak and silly in those photos, which is exactly what the Koreans want. I think that's a bigger geopolitical story than has been reported so far.

You lost the election.
Quit whining.
Spend your time trying to rebuild the Dem Party without a worn out 60's liberal.

They do matter, but increased costs of the services provided by the government and the increased cost to service the debt make a dollar to dollar comparison misleading, as well. It is very hard to pay down the debt because real budget cuts have to be made. The current climate of "reducing the deficit" is stupid.

Whatever you say snowflake.

To be fair, you did high tail it off an airplane after catching glimpse of a brown man. Real men don't skin out, they move to the "combat seat."

There may be some snowflakes on this forum, but the above precludes you from calling them out.

Did he walk out of this one because he got questions about his transition teams connections with Russia??? Real ass kicking moment there

No he has dressed down the media for their obvious bias. And he also asked why they didn't look into HRC giving 20% of our uranium to Russia.

It's been a butt kicking. They don't know what hit them.

Will there be a stream to go back and watch? I'll need to see this.

His administration is running like a fine tuned machine. He just needs to stop with the grandiose bs.

He inherited a mess. Come on conservatives, I thought blaming the ex president was a faux pas.
