There's no question about it Donnie knows how to coach. But it takes time to implement a new system, especially in a league this tough.

But I like this group of Vols. They're a blue collar team, and they have tremendous mental toughness. Given that we've gone to a youth movement, they're a dark horse team that is showing flashes of brilliance.

It will be worth it when the team is finally starts hitting their stride, really starts to gel, because believe me this is a team that could make some noise. They could be a sleeper team when everybody gets on the same page, and we're starting to hear that the players are really buying in to CDT's system.

You can already see that they are doing the little things you need to do in order to win, and when the wins start coming this will be a team to be reckoned with.

Coach Tyndall and the team have been busting their butts all year to get better and they need our support. :hi:

I support DT and the kids, but, I think I saw a thread like this at the beginning of the season. Been supporting all year. Is this thread to support next year also? I feel like I'm tight-roping the twilight zone here. popcorn:

I agree with the OP but I am waiting to see if this staff can recruit better. There is no doubt that the current team works hard, plays hard, and has mental toughness.

But,

There has to be someone on this team who can be counted on to hit a 3 pt shot on a consistent basis to stretch opposing defenses.

Agree with some on here. Most analysts are predicting 5-6 SEC teams in the tourney. Indicative of a tough conference. This team is lacking a real PG and a C. They are doing the best they can.

I hope the NCAA gets its act together and rules on CDT soon so that UT can move forward. I have seen enough to know that CDT is a good coach and appears able to recruit well if given a level playing field.

Anybody who thinks Tyndall should be fired for this season is an idiot. On the other hand anyone who thinks he has done a great job and he has proven beyond any doubt he can get it done are just as deluded.

I just wish the NCAA would get their head out of their arse. It's hard to get behind a coach when you don't know his future,

Stay the course, well be just fine

Donnie's got them headed in the right direction, for sure. He's kinda brought everyone together after the Martin fiasco, the team is like a family.

They pride themselves on their defense, and they are better team than their record indicates. Don't listen to what the naysayers say, these guys are no pushovers.

They play with swagger, they are playing with a chip on their shoulders and they will make us proud. Everyone just needs to be patient.

As mentioned several times before on here...it's that dad
gum (yes I said it) NCAA crap. It will continue to hamper DT until it's settled. It's a nasty situation. :banghead2:
