CBBowling...any updates on donation total raised for this young man's family?
I am moved by the show of loyalty for another Vol and their family in a time of need.
I shouldn't be surprised, Tennesseans have a long lived tradition of helping that dates back to to the War of 1812 when the call came out for 3500 Volunteers and over 25,000 of us showed up. Then again 10 years later when the call came out for 2800 and we again showed up over 30,000 strong. Casey Jones and Alvin C. York are other classic examples of how we Vols have unselfishly served the needs of our fellow brothers. We have volunteered in large masses for every war, natural disaster or whenever a need arises. The point is, we Vols step up to the plate whether the call to action is locally or global - we Volunteers are the bravest and most unselfish of men and women from the greatest Nation on the planet.
I am a new member, but long time lurker. VN seems to average around 4000 members online at any given time. So I will just use the number of 4000.
4000 members online at an given time. Use the Pareto principle and we are at 800 members. If just 800 of us would skip a lunch this week, give up a few Mountain Dews or just eat off the dollar menu we could easily each donate $12.50 this week to help another Vol family. we could very easily raise $10,000 for Isaac's family.
I'll close with this call out to my fellow Vols. The US Gov't has made the call for several hundred soldiers at various times to help the nation, each time we have sent sent 10-15 times more. Our call to action is local this time fellow Vols. I am calling out for 800 of our Vols to donate any amount for another Vol family.

I apologize in advance if the call out offends anyone.
Hey, sorry for the delay. I'll update at least once a day if I can. So far, we have around 35 donations with a total of around $625 thus far. Not bad for less than 24 hours VolNation.
Keep it going. You can help more by linking this to your Facebook/Twitter pages. You guys are great.k:
