Don’t worry…. We’re coming

You're ignorant about the call. It has been discussed why he didn't challenge. Discipline was great in 1st Q and fell apart. I guess that can be on the coach for inability to settle everyone down.
Lining up in the shotgun on 4th and inches is inexcusable I’ll never understand it I remember everyone here blasting Butch for doing it ironic how everyone wants to defend it today.

I am not defending. I actually prefer power run. But CJH mentioned a problem with communication on that play. I am simply reminding you that nothing is 100% in football. I've looked for info comparing short yard conversions from power compared to shotgun. Haven't found anything, yet.

We have coach worshipping here. McDad is not one of those, so not sure your point Berry.
I watched his UCF teams a lot bc I lived in Orlando for 4 years, I’ve seen him do this crap before I was hoping a change of scenery would make a difference so my baggage towards Heupel isn’t after 2 games. We still have no choice but to give him a few years and see what happens

Why is that relevant? If I was here blasting Pruitt would you be asking me that? You’ve never questioned a coaching decision? If Butch was our coach you’d be here blasting his ass too wouldn’t you?
You said, you would take your chances with the sneak. I thought you had coaching experience.

I question calls, personnel, and other stuff, too. The difference between your reaction and mine even though we both prefer a different short yardage scheme is, you are wanting because you like it better. I am wanting to look at some stats before I complain about it. CJH has a better track record with his system than butch, or pruitt.

You're clearly ahead of me with familiarity with his coaching. I haven't followed him before he became our coach. He has a decent record of offense.

His penalty bug someone clued me in on today is a big concern for me.

I have zero confidence in any coach our AD brings in based on the last 4 hires. Sorry. But no choice other than hang in for years.

I told hog in another forum pessimism has been the right approach. I fully understand anyone who is in wait and see.

…and the penalties?
Unfortunately, penalties are a characteristic of CJH coached teams. At UCF, they aveaged about 8 penalties a game for 70 yards. It's a problem. and concern. He cannot do that in SEC, with the other issues we are seeing in the first two games and have any chance of productivity.
