Are most of the top recruits we are recruiting waiting on other players to commit?

If one recruit goes elsewhere do we get the other?

Are we in a situation like this?

I seriously doubt we get more than one kid to verbal to us this late in the process. Most kids now are still making sure they're making the right decision.

I doubt we ever get another kid to come here. Wouldn't surprise me if next season was cancelled and Neyland stadium dismantled.

the problem is a lot like the gruden situation.

people convince themselves that there is a legitimate shot of something happening that is never going to happen

several of these "big fish" are not going to tennessee and tennessee really wasn't as in the game on them as some like to think. however, they are legitimately in on a few

but, i don't know how much could be expected from a coach who is mostly unknown to do in a couple of months.

Are you saying Gruden to Tennessee was not realistic? I agree 100% about the recruit part but if you are saying Gruden was never a legitimate possibility to be the head coach at Tennessee you are clueless.

You are a damn idiot then. I don't have to convince myself at all, I know for a fact he was a legitimate possibility.

We are done, we have who we have.

Go Vols! This post is ridiculous. TN should save its money on these recruiting trips then according to you. We should have a yard sale on all of the sports equipment so we can salvage enough money to build a new place for a bookstore, right? We will land some top recruits. How many times are you in the running for recruits and everyone says no? Calm down and take a deep breath. We are UT, we will be back and Go Butch (you're doing a great job).

Gruden's agent said so. No 'official' offer was ever made. Gruden was never coming here, he's NOT a college coach, never will be. NFL may call him one day but not college. He would be crazy to give up the job he has now even for the NFL. Nooooo stress.
