That's all woodson done? Interesting.

And while you may not think smoking pot is a big deal it's why Ramar Smith got booted, along with many other players, so obviously it can be an issue.

yeah meant mcnight.....thats definitely true but surely mcnight could have managed not to fail the five tests in one season. I dont mind taking chances on guys and definitely with the bigs we were left with then Dom is a good risk. If he doesnt make the changes necessary then kick off the team and hopefully recruit a big next yr.

You don't know that all that McKnight did was smoke weed

Seems Donnie is taking some risks to get some short term help until he can recruit for the future. It shows he wants to win this year while building for the future. He might have to kick some wayward guys off the team, but he seems to have a plan to win ASAP.

And you don't know that he did anything more than that. I take the approach that even though McKnight isn't going to be a part of this team i'm not going to judge him when we still don't have all the facts.

Was there an official release on pot?

There never is.....its usually violation of team rules......we do know that he didnt do anything that included police involvement and he was in good academic standing so its pretty likely that it was pot related.

Well there was more to it, it's why he's as LBSU and not somewhere better, but think what you want

Then broadcast it. The "I know more than y'all know" routine is stale. If you know something, then spill it. Otherwise, leave everyone else to their own assumptions, and don't criticize them for it if you plan to simply sit on your info.

He has no info, he's just trying to criticize Coach Tyndall without coming out and saying it.

A few things about this Woodson signing stand out to me.

1. We've added a much needed big body to our post.
2. Chris Dortch scooped the local media by a mile. He had a complete story written while other media in town were still in bed. They spent the rest of the day playing catch up to Dortch.
3. This changes our needs in this recruiting class. We now only have 3 open spots. Point guard is a for sure need and probably would like to bring in two guys that can play point. In my opinion, that's why Dwayne Bacon would be an absolute huge get. He's a guy that can play a number of positions, point guard being one of those.

I'd be tempted to wear a shirt with bacon strips and glasses shaped like Bacon on his visit...

Don't understand this one at all. First, he may not be cleared by the SEC. 2nd, he may not be given a waiver by the NCAA. 3rd, he doesn't fit Tyndall's style. Word is that he is over weight. If you can't get a player who can contribute immediately then UT is better off to recruit someone without transfer baggage. 4th, he's got some past issues. I don't know any details, but something was going on.

I know UT needs post players, but why would they consider taking a kid with this much baggage at Memphis?

It's a great mystery to me. One school banishes a player because of repeated violations of team rules. To the point where it is apparently irreconcilable.

The next week another school(s) swoop in for a recruiting grab and start the same player with a cleaner slate than anyone on the current roster.

Then fans all make fun of their school of choice that has no integrity. In this case, the student is in the SAME State school system.

Then we act as if everyone should honor the institution. Weird I say. :banghead2:
