Not sure what to do about vacation now. Supposed to leave tonight. I may just drive the boys down and fly my wife down in a couple of days. She won't want to leave now.

Assign a friend to monitor the situation, sorta like a dog sitter. Give him access to all the call in numbers to check out the sightings. Stay in touch and go on vacation. Like I said before, I think he'll be alright and come home soon with a little help from your friends.

If he has a favorite treat or key words that you use to let him know it's dinner time let your friend use those incentives to get him to come to him.

He may not come back but Rambo has nothing on Lenny. He is roaming a big circle in the woods with a creek splitting it in half. So many people have set out food, its like he is at a tunica buffet. 7 calls now, but people can't get within 50 feet and he darts in the woods. There are at least 5 other families that have set out traps where last seen.
I'm at peace with whatever happens now.

Well, two weeks out and we started getting calls last night and this morning. So I go on my normal search and he walks in front of me @ 50 yards. I get out and lay on the ground like at home, and he stares, then runs. We see him 4 times this morning and he won't even come to the kids. Its either him coming home on his own, or be a wild dog. He was a rescue, and his mom and dad both were wild. Trying not to take it personal, but after the mental anguish, it pretty much sucked. But it may be what I needed to turn a corner and let him go a little.

Bear gets it. On serial note have you thought about hiring some dog catchers you know the people who do it for living? SIAP.

He is going to have to be trapped and we have some in the works. We need to have a place where we leave food and we know its him. He has been to all over the place to trap. And what great neighbors. We ran into several people today that were just out looking to try to help, and we didn't know them at all. He is taking on a cult status.

Is he fixed...we kept a stray, last year when we moved in..
He would run every time we opened the door, then we got him fixed and it stopped completely..

He's fixed. He's just a runt of a stray and a ***** mom that was preggo from 3 dogs at the same time. He was a great puppy at the house with the boys, but has gone postal.
