Dogs of VolNation and other pets that are inferior to Dogs

Isn’t Lenny the Rambo dog that disappeared for a few months?
How old is he now?

He skipped out of a friends house into the woods at 6 weeks and was gone for almost a month. Got him back and he was jacked up and gained a couple pounds. Cold dude.
Rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, snakes..he’s over 50 kills now at the age of 12.
Pic attached is from after a few weeks he had been back, we found the kids stuffed animals in corners of the house with all the eyes torn out.
My best friend though. Been there by my side when my wife battled cancer and the last year with us as my son battles brain cancer.

Great spot. I miss the days when it was an affordable place to vacation!

You can still find some decent rates in non peak season especially if you book in the days prior to going as rates are dropped again if not occupied. Not cheap but beachfront is doable compared to 30A. Split with another family I can make 5 nights happen for just a little more than a hotel in Knoxville on a football weekend. Dogs run back and forth to umbrella like it’s their yard. If dogs are cool people don’t care if they run free for a minute or fetch a ball in the waves.
Watching my 2 old mutts just take off free for a sprint on the beach and jump into little waves is worth the $ for me by itself.

30A has gotten ridiculous. We have flown to Mexico and the Bahamas and stayed beachfront for less than what houses are going for there. It's also so crowded and commercialized now.

Yeah it’s bad. I was going down there before Alys and Inlet existed. Don’t go there anymore. Thank goodness I didn’t buy a lot in empty inlet many years ago for 25k or a condo for 225k that’s now worth 2M. Genius.

Inlet is nice, as it is fairly shielded from inland beach traffic and still an easy walk or bike ride to Rosemary. I have a friend who owns a house in Alys, but it's insanely expensive. My favorite restaurant in the area is there (The Citizen).

Here is Juliette in the arms of a vet tech in Sarasota this morning.
Juliette woke up yesterday with spinal issues and it appears that she has a disc issue in her spine.
She will be on steroids and pain killers for the next week.
If she does not get better we are looking at a $8k-$10k surgery.
Heartbreaking to see her in pain.

We decided

We are taking Juliette to a surgeon who specializes in IVDD.
SCAN- Specialists in Companion Animal Neurology in Clearwater.
After more research, she would have a 50-60% of recovery if we take the medically managed approach. If we go the surgical route, she has a 90-95% chance of recovery. We are hoping that she can get an MRI tomorrow for the definitive diagnosis and hopefully surgery tomorrow as well.
Please wish us well

I don’t know what that means. Drop off area with tubes and kayaks and they bus you back up. Never been down theee before. Dropped a line off the deck of the Airbnb right on the river and caught trout.
Ah. It's a raft brand. Buddy of mine used to have one. We used to call him Mr McDuck because of what he paid for it. The rest of us had Saturn rafts which is the brand mortals buy.

Since you had the pups in there I assumed it was yours.
