Does UT = Michigan?

Nonsense. He knows where the recruits are and they are fixin to see how he coaches.

Michigan = Tennessee?
The last time these teams met, were they equal?

Oh yeah, let's take 9 years ago as a barometer. At that point, UM and UT were 2 of the top 5 programs in the country. Casey Clausen was a soph., and Albert Haynesworth wasn't even 21 yet.

I hate Michigan! Love Vols football, & growing up in Indiana being a Ohio State fan as well, you can see why. Loved the year Ohio State & Tennessee whooped Michigan!

I have heard that if rich rod wants to keep his job, they have to make it to a huge bowl game this year.

Another thing to consider: If Michigan does can Rich-Rod, they have an immediate replacement...Jim Harbaugh. If Dooley is canned in two-three years, I don't know who will take the place of Dooley.

Rich Fraud's canning is a year overdue, IMO. Why he was given another year after last season's epic collapse and an NCAA investigation is beyond me.

I heard Michigan's AD say the other day they believe in him and don't plan to release him anytime soon. I guess they want to go on to be like Notre Dame was with Charlie Weiss.

Weiss was at least finishing .500, something Rich Fraud has yet to do.

Even though I greatly dislike UM (and Notre Dame and OSU), they deserve much better than RR.

As a Michigan fan I can say that I believe Tennessee is in much better shape. I hated the RR hire and still dont like enjoy the man. I really want Jim Harbaugh with truckloads of money. I want Michigan football back.
If he doesn't produce this year, you won't have to wait too long fopr him to go. I will tell you this much, what I wouldn't give now for RR to have taken that Alabama job.

I will never forget the day I saw that on the ticker on ESPN. It was a great day. I would say more but losing to Wyoming was also some what of a humbling experience lol

People read too much into AD speak. What is he supposed to say, "I have no confidence in our coach"?

Let the Bammers talk! Lol...2 in a row loses to LA Monroe, an 0-4 record against Notre Dame, including 2 national title loses.

Two programs, both with a rich tradition. Both recently had coaching changes. I don't like R-Rod but his history shows him to be a good coach. He got to Michigan and was astounded by the lack of talent. I am afraid that we are in the same situation. Dooley is a good coach but lack of talent might end him before he begins.

3-9

Yeah, Ryan Mallett was an awful quarterback... had nothing to do with RR being too stubborn to run anything but his offense the first season.

rich should have stayed at w v u. he had it made there for the next 20 years !! i like rich, but he followed the money and now after this season, he probably will have a lot of time to count it all !!. on a side note bill lewis had better win 10 games this year at w v u or he's out of there !!:popcorn:

You act like that is a bad thing...He still has a ton of money.

I love UT. However, straight off of wikipedia......

Michigan-----Wins and championships

* Highest all-time winning percentage in NCAA Division I-A/FBS history (.737)
* Most all-time wins in NCAA Division I-A/FBS history (877)
* The most winning seasons (110)
* The most undefeated seasons of teams currently competing in Division I-A/FBS (23)
* One of only three schools with a winning record against every Division I-A/FBS conference
*11 national championships.

I know a Michigan booster. He tells me RR told Mallet he would alter the offense for him to stay but he wanted no part of it. Not sure if this is common knowledge or just BS since I don't keep up with them.

Was there really a serious lack of talent overall or just a lack of the type of athletes to run RR's offensive schemes?

Either way, could have sworn that MI had more depth and experience when RR arrived than UT has today. Considering the conference, I suspect a coach that would have stuck with their traditional schemes would have had an easier transition and better record their first couple of years.

Playing golf and the beer afterwards. There isn't nothing wrong with Rich Rod. He is spread offense. I will bet you all that his offense will be productive. If he has the concept on defense he will win and big. I don't think
OSU get there on offense. Whatever his name has no clue and isn't a winner. He would be here if Fulmer was our coach. College football is small ball now and guess what we're the author of it. You fellas are too young to see it, I have. We always recruit our players that work for us and if you saw Worley, I really don't think we are going to the spread. We are in the process of tweaking our defense to combat what we created. It's a hell of note!! GBO. Rocky top is the top dog. Trust me. Always will be. Lay around the shack till the mail train comes back, rollin in my sweet baby's arms!!

I understand. But it's such a different style than from Carr he deserves to have three years.
