Little bit different in that instance. I would say that VA Tech was a more talented team than UT, by a long shot.

If ND beats USC it would be an effin miracle. On probation or not....USC's 2nd teamers could beat what ND will have on the field next year.

Wishful thinking. Our struggles in defending the spread had more to do with our lack of talent and depth at several positions than Monte's schemes. USC won't have those issues.

Yeah, Stanford has found a way to be competitive, Notre Dame can do it too. Especially when every Catholic kid in the country wants to keep the same uniform they wore in HS for college.

I'm laughing at the thought of USC having a huge rivalry with Notre Dame. USC fans don't even pay attention when the team isn't good. I'm not sure where I'd rank the USC ND rivalry, but it isn't high on my list of favorites.

The USC/ND rivalry is a national rivalry...the only one of it's kind. As opposed to the provincial rivalries of the SEC.
