It’s been pretty stinky thus far. There’s absolutely no doubt that Currie created this storm and I’m concerned that he is choosing people like Schiano and Gundy to go after. Gundy is a good coach but he is a OSU guy and most of us figured he’d use it as leverage. The more no’s we get the harder it gets. Very much reminds me of 2010 again.

It smells like Haslam has his stinking hands all over it and is hampering us from getting a quality coach once again.:realmad:

Nope. Nothing like Dooley. This guy had the Western Ky Hilltoppers in the top 25 and he won 6 games at Purdue where they had won something like 9 games in the past 4 years.

Brohm is respected throughout the coaching community and has been successful as an OC with Petrino and as a HC at WKU and now Purdue. He runs an exciting offense.

Unless it doesn't fit your narrative, you will remember the La Tech folks were not only happy that we took Dooley off their hands, they were incredulous that we did.

Currie and Haslam have definitely messed up this entire process but Brohm would be a very good hire, especially considering where we are at this point.

Not even close. Brohm has a better resume than Dooley ever had. This is a great hire.

I'm not sure Brohm is an upgrade over Butch, but he's surely better than Dooley.

Hard to say, but on the surface, I like this hire better than Butch. Jones came to UT having pretty much just ridden the coattails of Brian Kelly at both Western Michigan and Cincinnati. Brohm, on the other hand, has actually improved both programs he's been at. Although he did follow Petrino and Taggart at WKU, he also took the program to greater heights than did either of his predecessors.

Like I said in another thread, I do wish he had a little more experience for us to draw from, but I do not hate this hire at all.

You backed into hiring a good coach.

The fan base will be patting themselves on the back in a few years for being geniuses for blocking the hire of Schiano

Yeah, whatever. Tell me how scared you are of Brohm. Shaking with fear, right? We’re gonna dominate the East for the next decade, right?

Nah, the Dooley hire smelled like sh!t. This one smells like it did when you came home after school and your mom was making liver for dinner. You may gag a little, but you can get it down and who knows, it may be good for you.

Brohm is not Dooley.
Cheer up.
I want to see the official release before I get too excited.

No named candidate except for Dorean at NC State is remotely close to Dooley.

People who think that about Brohm or Morris simply have no idea about football at all. None.

And I'm not even a huge fan of Brohm.

I think his football knowledge is second to none. All wait and see on his recruiting ability and who he hires as Assistants. I assume his brother is probably coming.

Please don't expose your ignorance by comparing Brohm to Dooley.

Dooley was basically Saban's gopher. Nothing more.
