Does the first game set our expectations for 2007-08

I have never said otherwise, I just think you ultimate cockiness and sureness of victory will be your downfall. Rome was sure they could defeat the Barbarians, and an entire empire fell. The same analogy can be applied here. :)

You are using the downfall of Rome as an anology for a football game. You really don't have any points to make do you.

Rome never had a defense.

You sound like Fulmer.

And how is that a bad thing? The man is a genius and he also has the ability to show compassion, as he did last year. You guys would have liked to run the score up but Fulmer has more class than you.

The analogy doesn't work. The Barbarians had actually beaten somebody previously.

Sounds like you have been keeping up with Tenn football as of late.:ermm:

You guys don't really like Fulmer, do you? Why is that? I mean the guy is really trying to get you back to where you need to be. Let's give him a chance. However, after the Cal game you guys better not start one of those FireRonZook.com sites!

Your a Tenn fan to? I bet Cal would like to have him but here at Tenn we want to win titles consistently.

Well it certainly makes a better human being. I have already said we can use a new OC, and I think Fulmer is just the guy.

Why is this so funny? You seem to think he is over the hill. I think he just has too many ungrateful fans to deal with.

Turnovers will be key.
We have to establish the run.
The game will be decided at the line of scrimmage.
We always play better as the underdog.
It comes down to who wants it more.

Anybody got anymore cliches?

Thats pretty good.

I think if UT does all those things, plus has the edge in time of posession, knock down a few passes, force some fumbles deep in cal territory, make some key tackles, Ainge has at least 450 yds and 3 tds passing, and pick off 2-4 passes, Vols should win that game.

"The offense's job is to get a couple of first downs and punt"

Anyone guess who said that? :birgits_giggle:

What a joke, I mean really. How are they going to force these fumbles? How are they going to do any of the things you said. I could say the same thing, makes no sense really. You just keep quit and wait for your turn in Berkeley also. We will beat you both!

Random Trivia Smacktalk

Tennessee has had five 10 win seasons in the last 10 years.

Cal has had three 10 win seasons in the last 50 years.
