Nobody knows anything. VolNation fanned the flames with insider rumors. Then people projected their desired outcome onto those lies. The desired outcomes were discussed so frequently they became mistaken for reality. And now we regularly get threads like these.

The guys Pruitt has been interviewing like to throw about 75% of the time and lineup with 3-5 wide receivers sometimes with the far guy out on the numbers. This spreads the defense out, hence the name “spread offense”, to create larger throwing windows and get your athletes in space. They prefer smaller faster TEs who can run deep routes and occasionally block. QBs are only in the shotgun.

Pruitt wants a run heavy pro style offense that moves methodically down field to eat up clock. TEs are usually larger and only run 5-10 yards routes. QBs are mainly under center but you will see shogun formations in passing situations.
