does coach pearl drive coach cal to be better or visa versa ! TN over ole miss by 11

Cal been around longer, Pearl, having fun now, he says, used to be poor , loving the TN high now.

I doubt they give each other too much thought, unless they're coaching against each other. They're in separate conferences, coaching at schools 400 miles apart. If Pearl was going to use a nearby school as a benchmark, he'd probably pick UNC, which is closer than Tiger High.

They can't like each other much though they're goin after the same guys ! By the way I think Tn has got the best shot of anybody in the country of beating them on the 23d

I'm pretty sure Tennessee is the only team in the country that has a shot of beating Memphis on February 23rd.

My uncle was from Raleigh! Buryed him with with his NC hat I gave him on a birthday.I hate to pull against them but loyality is loyality!

If I were looking for a betting score, I might take a wager against Memphis at Tulane, three days before Memphis hosts UT. Tulane has beaten Auburn, Jawja and LSU already this season, so they can play a little, and you know that place will be jacked having Memphis in there probably as the No. 1-ranked team in the nation. And the Tigers will probably be looking ahead to UT.

Not saying Tulane will beat them, but that's a perfect trap game for Tiger High.

My family is actually originally from Kingsport and Johnson City; most of them live there now. I've been on Tobacco Road for 21 years now, about two-thirds of my life, but I grew up in a family that pulled for the Vols and they're still my team. I run into a lot of Bammers, Gators and Dawgs out here, and we're always glad to see a fellow fan of a real football conference. ACC stands for Always Crappy Conference in football.

I want Pearl to keep building the hoops program so I can finally crow to some of my UNC friends out here. I'll never forgive Jerry Green for choking that tournament game away. :furious3:
