It will work out in the end every year 4 or 5 will change there minds and go elsewhere 1 or 2 might be told to look else where plus a grayshirt or 2 and in the end we will be at 30. Yesterday day showed me one thing we GOT TO HAVE SPEED ON THE BACK 7, I don't care how many D line you got it showed real bad at the linebackers, we are decent up front, back 7 speed is where it is at, with everybody running the spread the back 7 has to have speed more than size the game has change in the last 5 years that much, we got team speed coming if we can hold it together till NSD, which we will after we kick vandy Kentucky and whoever in the bowls azz we will be right back on track, got to have faith, BUTCH will BUTCHER the STEER in the end, GO VOLS KICK AZZ:good!:
usually best to google the acronym and put "on message board" after.... apparently it means "No Text" which signifies every thing OP wants you to know is contained in the title.
learn something new every day.
When you are a 2* recruit and way undersized...you take a gray shirt (by a major program you like), if asked. If you think you can play and excel there, a greyshirt isn't a nasty term. It's a 4month delayed enrollment. Bryce Petty did it at Baylor.NT= nose tackle? Are we going back to the 3-4??? Oh noooooos!! Jk
And in pretty sure Dews is not wanting to grey shirt?

NO, because we still have 3 spots left due to: Paulk (greyshirt due to ACL injury), Dews (greyshirt due to allowing him to grow physically) and Bryant (possibility of Academic Casualty). So, 3 spots will go to JUCO Dt, WR-Malone, & DT - Mosely
I get that people don't care for the 3-4 after last year's meltdown, but the failure of the defense had nothing to do with the actual scheme itself and I'm not buying the supposed personnel problem either. The 3-4 is a fundamentally solid defensive scheme, Sal just did a terrible job teaching the players how to run it and then another terrible job calling it. We had the horses to run it, IMO. McCullers is a prototypical 3-4 NT, AJ is a 3-4 LB all the way & J. Smith and Maggitt are sized right for it as well, and C. Miller fits pretty well at the 3-4 DE spot. I know that's not the entire personnel package, but it should have been more than enough to run it with at least some success.
Apparently according to most of the folks on hear from yesterday, our only need is speed to fix the problem so we should be looking at the track teams at the high schools instead of the football players. Speed= instant wins, no coaching necessary.
