If he had played at UGA as well, I'd have a slight worry. I can't see him leaving us for either UGA or UVA. He's not Kiffin.

nah, i always respected his dad. hes a welcome addition to the vol family. just dont betray us , we dont like change. im convinced pearl is here to stay, id like the comfort and success in football again.

I think we should find a coach who has never played or coached anywhere else. Only then will we know hes a true volunteer. Ohh wait, we already had one of those, he got ran off. Ohh well, who cares?

Who was that? I don't remember anyone like that coaching at UT.

I'm pretty sure being Vince Dooley's son benefited him more in the interview process than prevent him from getting the job

Derek Dooley was on the UVA team that was ranked #1 in 1990 when they lost to GT on a last second field goal. As you know, Virginia hasn't been that good since then, and GT went on to win the National Championship. I'm sure that since Dooley was on that UVA team he probably hates GT. That bothers me more than him being the son of a dog, but I am impressed with his embracing of everything UT, so he's got my vote!
