Does Heupel reel in Arch Manning?

I bet since the age of 11 or 12, Arch Manning has been saying you know who I want to play for? Josh Heupel.

Archie and Eli really solidified the Kiffin hire as best for Arch to get developed and to the NFL. Unless we get rolling, no way Arch doesn’t become the 3rd Manning at Ole Miss
His Daddy is Cooper, not Eli. Arch will choose and the other 3 will support him.

Given our luck the past 10 years Saban will hire some qb guru as an offensive consultant that draws him to Bama. Peyton shows up to Bama football games wearing crimson. Vols football gets the death penalty and there is a covid-23 that wrecks havoc on the world. If any of those things does not happen then it will have exceeded my expectations.

Heupel couldnt even land mid tier Florida talent at UCF and you are asking if he lands Arch Manning.

What planet do you some of you live on?
Funny part about that is every single place he has been with mid-tier talent he could beat our Vols. No question about that. Worst case scenario is he brings in mid-tier talent and we are still better than we are now. Best case scenario is that if a dork like Butch Jones can recruit successfully here, so can Heupel and we become much better than we are now.

It doesn't matter. He is still Archie's grandson and Eli/Peyton's nephew.

Archie and Eli would have shut down Kiffin to Ole Miss if they wanted. They signed off on it because they would rather Arch go elsewhere if a Matt Luke type coach was still at Ole Miss. They signed off on Kiffin so the roster could be recruited and developed over the next seasons to give Arch a stable team to go to.

To sit here and think that Archie specifically won't have input on it is dumb. He is a legacy 3rd generation QB in the first family of Ole Miss sports.

People are dumb if they think he has any shot of winding up here if Ole Miss is on the uptick under Kiffin. This isn't rocket science.

I think, if Heupel can coach, and his record suggests that he can, what he gets from coming here - besides more $$s - is the potential to recruit from a better pool of candidates than he could at a "mid-major" (and I mean absolutely no offense to UCF). Tennessee and the SEC are going to attract more kids than where he was - even if the potential recruits liked him as a coach. He's not going to recruit like Saban (only a very few even can come close), but his success will go up because he will have two new and improved brands on his calling card, the SEC and UT. Tennessee is down, but it ain't dead and the SEC is as good as it gets.

I think he’ll end up at Clemson or Alabama but there’s a punchers chance at ole Miss or UT.
