Does he understand he is already on the "Hot Seat" with Volnation?

What does he have and not have that you wanted?

He was OC at Missouri and lit up the scoreboard especially against us

Offensively, he's Kiffin without the diva behavior. I'm not worry whatsoever about our offense from an X's and O's standpoint. But make no mistake, he's going to have to have a dynamic staff around him. He's going to need great recruiters and a good defensive staff. I HOPE like hell we can retain Kevin Steele as D-Coordinator, make him the highest paid D-Coordinator in the SEC if we have to, and bring in Rodney Garner to be recruiting coordinator and D-Line coach! That would make me feel a whole lot better going forward.

I doubt the pure, non-sinning, self righteous powers that be ever hire Garner.
He has always been the best bag man coach in the SEC.

First of all, that's a well thought out, objective listing. Thank you for posting, VolBricks!

The one "wait and see" that I think may not be as important to Heupel is Does he understand he is already on the "Hot Seat" with Volnation?

I think he will be more concerned with his position on the NCAA's hot seat. That's the hot seat that will actually limit what he can do each day.

I'm sure he (and White) knows there's little he can do right now to win the trust of a battered and bruised Orange Nation. Until he can prove something on the field, win some games, and until we have permission to fill Neyland Stadium (which won't happen for the Spring game, if there is one), there's not as much downside to having fans in a "wait-and-see" mode for now.

The best thing he can do to start building trust with the fans is to always tell the truth in public, without any shading or rah-rah.

This coach made Drew Lock, a terrible quarterback, look like a really good quarterback and got him in the NFL.
