I got the PS3 as well.

It seems that with more and more members 360's red ringing you are seeing more and more PS3's

No, it's because of the fact that HD DVD is going under, and people need Blu Ray players anyways.

This board is still very much pro-360.

Before too long I'll guy a ps3 and get a new tv to go along with it. Can't buy a ps3 only to play it on a 10 year old run down 25 inch tube.

Probably around the time MGS4 comes out.

I had one, but it's gone now. Traded it for a Wii for my son. PS3 all the way now!

I've got one. so far no red lights...:birgits_giggle:

No, but a PS3 breaking down is not fun either. Especially when Sony can only say, "We are experiencing higher than normal volume and your estimated wait time may be increased." This is what my friend in South Carolina is experiencing. He's been without his unit for over a month now and still cannot get any sort of answer from anyone at Sony CS. At least MS gets you one back in under a month.

Thankfully my PS3 hasn't exhibited any problems.

Which PS3 does he have?

Bought it about 5 months ago. No idea which actual model it was. Thing is, he's reading on the internet other people have been waiting multiple months now.

Obviously I'm not trying to say PS3 break as much as a 360 or even hint at that. But, from what I've seen, MS has their repair center together whereas Sony seems to be having some problems at the moment. Thankfully, I don't think many, if any, folks around here have had any problems with their PS3.

I have not had any problems with mine, (knock on wood) but with anything it's subject to break downs, it's just the 360 tends to break more. Although I have the older XBOX and have never had any problems with it either. Had the older PS2 until my little girl killed it.

Just curious...I could see Sony dragging their feet for sure. I hope mine never craps out.

If I had the money I'd buy a PS3 just for Blu Ray and the show. Maybe the Metal Gears too. But it still wouldn't get played as much as my 360.
