Does Currie Actually Have a Plan?

Is this Currie’s plan or is it going to be another Administration screw up that’ll set us back again?

Here's a theory my bro-in-law talked with me about yesterday.

So he thinks Currie is doing everything thing he possibly can to not fire Butch because he most likely will have to fire Warlick after the end of basketball season.

She has driven a once proud program into the ground where as before this season Butch and the football team were on an upward projectory.

So he doesn't want to fire both coaches from his top two programs in the same year. He's hoping Butch can make a bowl and play off the down year due to a new QB and replacing key players.

So I don't think he has planned on firing Butch, plus I'm with you in that if he was supposedly already told he'd be gone at the end of the year a d if a certain coach who shall not be named has agreed to come coach here that we would've seen something by now on either ESPN, Fox Sports or some site like that, but we've seen nothing

Which is odd considering past examples of coaches being fired and certain coaches rumored to be going to certain schools

So TL:DR, Currie has no plan on firing Butch nor did he intend to do it this year

YES - the plan for Butch has been agreed upon, just not signed. They have agreed in principle, he is gone. I don't know if it will be announced before or at the end of the season.

NO- I do not have confidence he has a good plan for landing a big time hire. I get the feeling TN is in for another dud.

I don't know much about Currie - but going on TV and telling a story about his dad as a doctor and how when you operate...blah blah blah... made him look inexperienced an like he was in over his head.

Watching FL and TN handle similar situations differently will be telling.

I think part of Currie's plan is that he's giving Butch's agent the best chance of succeeding behind the scenes on finding Butch a new gig.

I don’t know if Currie has a good plan or a bad plan. I do know that his plan does not involve me knowing his plan while he is trying to carry out his plan. I kind of like that part of his plan the more I think about it. People looking for a public lynching of butch with a burning mattress under his feet will likely be disappointed. I think I’m going to focus on other more important parts of my life while this plays out.

If Currie’s plan includes 0-5 in the SEC? He needs a new plan or a new job. That’s unacceptable at EVERY SEC school. Period.
