I hope Butch announces the starter today at his press conference so that VOLNATION can shoe support and he will have 2 weeks to work with 1st team offense to whip Utah's azz

as per TN insider, the expectation is that he will announce it on Sunday.

These guys must be pretty close because CBJ has had all three of these guys the last two season and has not been able to find a clear starter....

Or it could be that CBJ didn't want to name a clear starter until right before the season so the back up QB wouldn't transfer. Probably a good chance who ever ends up 3rd string will transfer after the fall anyways. Just the way it is with QBs in college nowadays.....

Dobbs will probably be 3rd string but I doubt he transfers. With his major he is probably a lock to stay and get that degree for free.

I hope he announces soon...that way we can get on with the endless posts about how much better ____________ (insert name) would be...

He will name the starter after spring practice next year when there is a chance of having a legitimate qb on roster. Until then its just a temp job.
