Does Boo have the “it” factor?

I think Boo Carter has the “it” factor!

I’ve had the Big Orange fever now for over 35 years and I was thinking back through the years about smaller in stature guys who were electric with the ball in their hands. I know that he played for the bad guys but David Palmer was one of the first guys that came to my mind. Over the last 20 years or so I think in my opinion Percy Harvin has been the best in this regard, so every time we get a player that I get excited about I think, is this guy going to be the next Percy. Guys like Nu’Keese who didn’t pan out for whatever reason, then I thought about Pig Howard who was solid or Jimmy Calloway and Jimmy Holiday who transferred before we really got a good look. Then squirrel White who I was really high on was super quick but wasn’t that fast. I know that it isn’t fair to compare these guys to I believe one of the best in this category But I think that Boo is very close or at least the closest to that standard. What do you guys think? Who else comes to mind?

I know it’s hard to say that one guy is the best at something but in this area (obviously not a smaller guy) in my opinion I think that Cordarrelle Patterson is the most electric with the ball in his hands that I’ve EVER seen!

In recent history Dee Williams comes to mind he was electric on punt returns.

He is very instinctive on punt returns - makes his reads very quickly and can cut and juke even quicker. He’d of had a TD on one of his punt returns if his lead blocker had blocked the guy that tripped him up instead of running ahead like an escort…of course in fairness to the blocker, game speed on the field is much faster than what we see watching it on TV.

Yeah it’s rare for a dude to have elite quickness and speed!

Not super rare to have physical quickness and physical speed…a little more rare to have those qualities both mentally and physically and that was my point. He seems to see the field and make his reads very quickly - like a good QB.

I noticed that there wasn't much interaction with the rest of the team after that punt return. Could be he's trying to create a highlight film to shop himself around next season. Boo has a high ceiling, but attitude needs to be corrected.

I agree, attitude whether good or bad can affect the team. Probably ruffle some feathers with this but that’s why I couldn’t understand why people were comparing the Mannings to the Sanders right after the draft. Attitude brings a lot to the table in any institution. Have a it’s all about me attitude with your spouse and see how that works out.

Boo has that ability to stick a foot in the ground and go. A lot of guys are fast, but few can change direction like he does. He also has great instincts. He doesn’t hesitate

Yup. Hard to imagine him not hitting the portal at the first opportunity. Gives me some comfort in knowing he's going to be auditioning for his next gig this year so maybe we get the best of Boo this year? Starting with UGA would be kinda nice.

Not sure if he will get any snaps on offense w/ him missing the summer workouts. I don’t know the story but supposedly some of the summer was meant for him it work w/ Joey and company on offense.
