Does anyone want us to lose this week?

No way! UT could never lose to Arkansas State! Not in a million years! Not in my worst nightmare! It couldn't happen!

could it?:dunno:

Never want a Vol loss. I would be thrilled if CPF turned it around completely and coached another ten years but past performance is usually the best indicator of future behavior and ...

That was not the question. I was amazed that in the past we have had some post that they would take a bad season to get a change. I was curious if any thought that about this game. It's not that hard to understand. If you don't like this thread ignore it. Obviously it was not aimed at you.

You are not crazy beef, it wasn't too long ago that I remember reading multiple posters say they wanted the Vols to lose to Kentucky (after the upset loss to Vandy.)

I never pull against the Vols. I also look at the other matchups and pull for the scenario that aids the Vols the most.

It seems as if some would take a loss in order to get a change in coaching. So my question to the board. Do you want UT to lose this Sat to ASU?

No!!!

But, Beef, rephrase your question to the following:

Would you rather for UT to go 8-4 for the season and retain Fulmer as coach or go 7-5 and him be fired? Even though this is a retorical question, the responders that answer 7-5 are in effect pulling for UT to lose a game.

I will be honest and say, that since I have decided that our current coach needs to be replaced and replaced soon, that, whatever the magical number of losses that Hamilton and co. have decided would result in a coaching change, that we suffer it this year and not continue the downward spiral and winding up with a shell of a program like Texas A&M (before they got rid of R,C. Slocum).

this is one of the dam dumbest threads i have ever read on here and i think the freak that started it is a moron and i question his loyalty to the vols..

Isn't there a major inconsistency there? No, you don't want us to lose this game but yes, you want us to lose whatever number it takes to oust the coach?:crazy:

So, you DON'T want us to go 10-2 or 9-3 eh? (I know, I know, not likely --- but theoretically possible).

If you are happy going to Peach or Outback bowls every other year and losing them to inferior teams..............

I think Beef was posing the question to bring out of the closet the negavols. And he succeeded: just look at the number of equivocal reponses.

I agree. There have been instances in the past where the loser of the UT/gator game has come back to win the East. However, after watching the obvious disparity between the coaching and talent of this years teams one would have to be skeptical that could happen. Not only this year, but as has been discussed ad naseum the gap seems to be getting wider.

I wish the rest of you would get on the band wagon on never lose to ASU. ASU would have preferred the Vols to be over-confident! Looking forward to a good "close" game!

If you're coming to the game, have fun and enjoy yourself(but not too much)!:peace2:

Regardless of your answer, only two things are going to effect change: 1) Athletic department begins losing money due to disinterested fan base, 2) Losing football games.

I never wish for a loss but I will be honest that I wanted UF to drop 100 on em the way they played last week.

Living in Arkanasas and knowing the ASU program, I would hate to think we will loose this game. Since all other teams in the state of Arkansas play second fiddle to UofA and Arkansas refuses to play them, I can see me getting ribbed about loosing to ASU a lot more than we lost last year to them on the Hill. Personally, I might call in sick on monday if we loose. :p
