Does Anyone Think the Vols Will Beat Arkansas?

Who would have picked Appalachian State over Michigan a few years back? All I'm really hoping for this year is that the Vols get better as the season goes on. If we pull an upset or two along the way, well, that's gravy. Be patient, Vol fans. Our day may not be here yet, but it's a'coming.

I hope we get out of there without setting the record for getting beat by them.
Ark is for real. Best WR corp in the SEC and maybe the nation. They have a very solid running game. I think it could get really ugly for us.

this is my feeling about this game. i can't stand to be around pig fans when they are winning. believe me, they will be doing a lot of that this year. the last time the vols came here (06), the hogs were favored, but i had hope. it was one of the longest nights of my life. crompton didn't know whether to spit or go blind. unless there is some development of nuclear proportions, this hog team should be twice as favored. in other words, i'm looking to unload my season tickets for that game. i'm telling you, patrino can coach. he didn't come off the bargain sale racks where hammy liked to shop.

I expect to beat everyone we play!! Of course that can't always happen, so I'll just hope for the best and expect the worst, won't be disappointed that way.......

In a pure down pour. UT beat them on the ground with zero passing game by the second half. It was run up the gut run right run left recycle or punt. That game was a throw back to the 1950's for sure.

Delayed a few times for lightning as well.

You guys are falling for sensational ESPN reporting.

The media isn't satisfied having a simple 2-horse race btwn Alabama and LSU. So they create a contender out of thin air -- Arkansas.

Mallett's gone. Hog fans (and others) will soon see what they're missing.

Vols throw the ball 49 times and win in an "upset" -- 38-31.

It's because ESPN hates UT, am I right?

Games arent wont on paper obviously, but Arkansas' offense is just plain nasty. Their defense isnt shabby either. I believe for UT to pull it off we will need to play a perfect game with multiple turnovers on defense. I am anxious to see if Wilcox can scheme his way into the 4th QTR.... If our front 7 comes to play, and our offense keeps our defense off of the field, anything is possible. If I had to put money on it, Id say Arkansas by 10+...

Hunter leaps above defenders and one hands a completion in the endzone as time expires.
Vols 27 - Ark 26

In all seriousness, I could see us losing this 49-28 or so. Then again, you never know what happens with injuries throughout the course of a season. Plus, games that are supposed to be shootouts or high-scoring games don't always turn out that way. Ask Oregon and Auburn.

I think Arkansas is a little over-rated right now, but I think this will be the most lop-sided loss of the season for UT.

Tennessee will beat Arkansas and I think thay will win more games than a lot of people expect.

I have the Hogs down to win the West this year

They are returning 7 starters on defense. 5 seniors and 2 juniors. Absolutely no freshmen in their lineup and a QB that got his feet wet against Auburn last year.

Their first real competition will be @ 'Bama on Sept 24th and should be a good game.
