Does anyone think Coach Banks deserves some props for today? I Do

Yea the defense looked good honestly. Multiple times they have the offense a chance to do serious damage. And the offense fell flat.

And blaming some of that on offensive TO's when you go 2 weeks and not one turnover by the D adds to the excuse list

Except you can't. We gave up 3 points on those 3 TOs. So.....what about the other 38 points?

It’s hilarious that Pruitt was a defensive guy yet recruited one decent pass rusher his entire time here in Baron

Straight push was good for the most part. But the Pitt qb was in shotgun and you're just not gonna get to a good fairly mobile guy with simple push from from 3 or 4. Thus I wish we had blitzed more. But its a start. They didn't run the ball effectively, in my opinion.

We blitzed several times but most times they did a good job picking it up and when that happens we get burned

Yeah but the pass coverage has got to get better. Was not impressed today.

Idk. I thought Rodney Garner was highly thought of, yet our pass rush is nonexistent.

You cant get average players to be high caliber. I'm not saying "wait til they get their guys" I'm just saying the DL are what they are, not very good.

The offense gave this team today little chance to in the football game. Missed opportunity, three and outs, turn overs, and missed blocks were more than the defense could cover. The offense has had problems in executing the plays called. Most f the problems have centered around QB play, dropped passes when the ball was watchable, injuries on the Line with inadequate depth to replace the injured, penalties from lack of concentration, and not having our first two running backs available to play. We still have the opportunity to get these problems fixed and have a decent football season.

I think the defense looked ok in spots. They didn't quit. We do not have many horses in the back of the D. Not sure we have the speed either. They do look better in technique and fundamental breakdowns
