Does anyone remember...

You’re literally attacking me for being apart of the rational crowd who said just because something happened in 1 game, it doesn’t guarantee what will happen in the other 11 games. Speaks volumes.

Weren't you one of the "rational crowd" claiming that Jones's recruits needed to leave before things would improve around here?

I'll fully admit I was wrong about the course of this season and I am thrilled with the turnaround.

But are you willing to admit you were wrong with regard to the players Pruitt inherited from the previous staff?

If the sec isn’t taking notice, then that’s going to be there downfall. I’ll say this, let them ignore us until we get to Oklahoma next year. When we beat them, Bama, Florida, and Georgia will have no choice to start looking at us even harder. I’m sure Saban last year took noticed, because he said we had to scrap just to play us harder, or something to that affect.

As far as I’m concerned, I made it clear the players refusing to buyin with Pruitt (that he didn’t recruit) needed to be ran off or let go.

That’s what happened. Thank goodness.

Never once did you see me ever claiming that all of Butch’s players needed to be kicked off or ran off by Pruitt.

...all those negavols who were skeered we would end up #33 in the SEC in 'crutin? That this staff with THREE 24/7 National Recruiters of the Year onboard would strikeout on early NSD and NSD and we would be perpetually doomed? Do you remember how long ago that was? yeah, like yesterday.

And then today happened. BAM!

The day isnt even complete and not only did we sign everyone we knew about - we got a couple that werent even committed! Already 10th nationally - if we land Darnell Washington as expected and squeeze another 4* or two into the few spaces we have left - what do you think we will end up with?

All you nega-vol recruiter mavens, what say you now? and does that change your opinion on Pruitt or this staff? confirm our upward trend?
Literally nobody remembers this. I'm pretty sure you're making stuff up.

Guess I need to read the cruitin forum more.

Maybe I missed it but I remember that was going on until right after the Bama game. Or was it closer to yesterday?

One can easily say the same about all the gloom and doom threads. Sadly, the negavols have been more right than wrong over the last decade and so had their fill of "I told you sos". Hopefully we have turned that corner where, like the darkness, the positive news and on field results beats them back into oblivion from whence they were forced to ooze from. Better yet, may the future be so bright that it consumes their negativity and their inner sunshine pumper breaks out of their withered husk. :D

Damn Gandalf. A well worded beat down, and gif combination worthy of framing my laptop screen in a gold frame. Nicely done!

Womp womp womp. You clearly don't comprehend stuff.

No one is excusing the loss to GSU..... Everyone is now excusing people saying a loss to GSU guaranteed a 2-10 / 3-9 record at season's end. Those are the real dill holes.
Losing to Georgia State is a reasonable motive for going bonkers. Not only that, but the obvious lack of effort . Every one of them could have looked elsewhere, and who would have blamed them? But the fact they recovered and the class is coming to fruition doesn't make the naysayers dill holes (takes one to know one). It really make the recruiting effort look even better.

I think it’ll prove to be a solid class. Obviously, it’s be great to add a couple more playmakers and improve still. The best of course being Washington. We were ranked between the upper teens and mid 20’s most of the last 9 months or so. At some point you realize we were too far behind to get inside the top 5 or so. Which is fine. I thought we’d end up around 15 and by some services that’s exactly where we ended up. Rivals is the only service that had us inside the top 10. 247 has us around 15 and espn has us at 20.

you’re right if that was the case. Unfortunately there were very few naysayers who were actually reasonable and wanted to take the next game on the schedule week by week.

The majority of naysayers were literally saying AND GUARANTEEING that losing to Georgia State would result in us going 2-10/3-9 with the Fulmer Coup. That was a big consensus on the board. The minority position on this board was “hey guys, this sucks and it’s awful but the season still has 11 games we have to play. Lets take it game by game instead of mailing it in like we know what’s gonna happen.”

It’s amazing all the cover and backtracking people are doing now to act like they were dealing out guarantees, not predictions, after one game.

Fulmer coup would have been fun thread fodder on here. All the "insider" information would have been hilarious.

How many teams has the SEC added this year, I admit I missed it, but we must have more than doubled our size to be #33, is that last place, or are there even more SEC teams behind us? Man, the SEC is something else, if you're not paying attention, things change-virtually overnight!!!!! I am a little confused, how can we be #33 in the SEC but """"Already 10th nationally""", this must be some of that "new math" I've heard so much about.
