...all those negavols who were skeered we would end up #33 in the SEC in 'crutin? That this staff with THREE 24/7 National Recruiters of the Year onboard would strikeout on early NSD and NSD and we would be perpetually doomed? Do you remember how long ago that was? yeah, like yesterday.

And then today happened. BAM!

The day isnt even complete and not only did we sign everyone we knew about - we got a couple that werent even committed! Already 10th nationally - if we land Darnell Washington as expected and squeeze another 4* or two into the few spaces we have left - what do you think we will end up with?

All you nega-vol recruiter mavens, what say you now? and does that change your opinion on Pruitt or this staff? confirm our upward trend?

Excellent. Some of them flamed me when I said a lot of them would have to eat a big ole meal of crow. And if people think this class looks good now, wait till you see them a year from now. But we lost to GA St and we lost all our recruits, Pruitt sucks.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Sometimes a person should just keep it to their self.

Threads like this are really unnecessary, just enjoy the moment.

I don't believe it's possible to be #33 in the SEC, in anything.

" if we land Darnell Washington as expected ." I hope you're right, but we're not the favorites to sign him, GA is. He's now waiting until the 2/5/2020 signing date unless he changes his mind again. Niedermeyer is batting zero so far this year after being named the national recruiter of the year last year. Washington is a TE, Brian is the TE coach, and it sure is a position of need for us. I hope he can work his magic over the next 6 weeks.

One can easily say the same about all the gloom and doom threads. Sadly, the negavols have been more right than wrong over the last decade and so had their fill of "I told you sos". Hopefully we have turned that corner where, like the darkness, the positive news and on field results beats them back into oblivion from whence they were forced to ooze from. Better yet, may the future be so bright that it consumes their negativity and their inner sunshine pumper breaks out of their withered husk. :D

Actually isn't he announcing at the Army All American game?

Everybody has different opinions. They might not sound close to what your opinion is, but no one knows what's going to happen in the future. Go easy on others and you might just have a role in making the world a little better.

At the end of the day, the loudest bunch on here were the ones who said 0-2 vs BYU and Georgia State was all it took to right off the remaining 10 games on the schedule. They grew louder when people pushed back by saying "No, those 10 games have yet to be played and our final record isn't guaranteed or certain."

Those were the worst fans and they are conveniently quiet......

Good signing day. Personally I never said 33. I thought 15. The staff did better than anticipated today. However, I don't really see the gloating side to "negavols,." The staff has not done anything to inspire confidence so far as elite recruiters or coaches. This could potentially be a foundation to instill that belief and a big step forward.

But I'd also warn you on this. Many times the reason you get surprises on signing day (good or bad) is because there are qualifying issues. What I mean is that based on when early signing day is, you may not sign a person you had previously committed because of grades and you make a take a flyer on a player/s you didn't previously have a verbal from knowing they have potential qualifying issues. (I have no clue if that's the case with any of our signings, but I have seen that scenario play out routinely).

Your argument doesn't make sense. There is no excuse for Georgia State or BYU. I'm sure CJP or Fulmer would tell you that personally.

That is a reasonable position. What wasn't reasonable were fans guaranteeing that we were going to go 2-10 or 3-9 after an 0-2 start without having to play the remaining 10 games were the clowns. And there were a lot of them. People had written off the season after 2 games. As I said, they were the worst.

Has nothing to do about excusing or not excusing the 0-2 start. The minority position on the board was very clearly "let's wait and see how the remaining 10 games go instead of sitting here and guaranteeing our final record"........

I think the number of Fr All-Americans and All-SEC Fr they've produced in such a short time is pretty impressive. I also believe we have seen improvement in development for a large number of our players. You can't be considered elite until you win championships, so while we can't label them elite yet, I disagree with you a bit in that I think Pruitt and staff has absolutely inspired confidence that they can be just that, elite. Pruitt has completely flipped our roster in 2 short years. We now have SEC upper half talent in our QB, OL, DL, LB, DB and ST groupings which is something we were not close to having a couple of springs ago. The top 3 teams in the SEC West were LSU, Auburn, Alabama...top 3 in the East were Ga, Fl and Tennessee, I'd say we are flirting with elite company. 2 more classes similar to last year's and this one will put us in elite company I feel.

It is possible. Say we were ranked12th in the SEC, then the SEC would move us back to 33 because we lost to GA St. If we end up 10th in the country then our ranking will be corrected by the NCAA to 97th, once again for the GA St. loss.
In all honesty we should have not even continued the season after that game. I know for a fact we were on Double Secret Probation.

For S and Giggles, I took a gander at UF's class. I guess because I consider them the next step in progression. Rankings are very important, but balance is more important. UF has signed Seven (7) DB's, Four (4) DT's, Three (3) OL, One (1) WR, One (1) TE, One (1) QB, One (1) LB.

That is going to leave them with some major, major holes in a couple years. Stars and rankings matter, but they don't tell the whole story.

His original plan was to sign with his team this week, but not announce it until that game. Then he decided too hold off until Feb. Does that hold true is anyone's guess. He's operating on his own time, and being the no. 10 player, he can do what he wants to do.

Womp womp womp. You clearly don't comprehend stuff.

No one is excusing the loss to GSU..... Everyone is now excusing people saying a loss to GSU guaranteed a 2-10 / 3-9 record at season's end. Those are the real dill holes.
