Does anyone really think coaching search #5 would end any better?

For all the ones clamoring to fire Pruitt, who exactly do you think will come here to coach if we fire a coach during the Covid Season in year three because he lost to Kentucky? He!!, Majors lost to Kentucky and he is a revered Coach in our history. (I'm not saying Pruitt is the second coming of Majors).

Getting beat like we did at home to KY sucks.
Having a coach be stubborn with arguably the worst QB in the past 50 years is irritating.

But dang guys...shut the panic button off. He inherited a dumpster fire of a team. He's just getting his second full class up to speed. It's a weird season. KYs team is not the KY of old. Yes, TN should have beat them, but they didn't. Time to move on.

Even Dabo took a few years to get Clemson where they are now. Saban lost to Louisiana Monroe at home. Fulmer lost to Memphis. Majors lost several embarrassing games and it took a while to get TN to dominance again.

Let's get some stability. Finish some buyouts. Give him a chance to rid the roster of Butch Stank and then see where we are at

You do realize that we get this same speech with every incompetent coach, right? As we watch one episode of ineptitude after another...Saturday after Saturday....

It's like a form letter you receive in the mail every 4-5 years.

I bet Pruitt would be very happy somewhere as a DC with elite talent on tap. He hasn't done anything to merit a HC job upgrade when he leaves TN and I doubt seriously he is ever a HC in the SEC again.

I also do not want Fulmer making the next hire. We have apparently had better coaches on the line before and tossed them back so UT screwing up a coaching search is what I have come to expect.

Based on the Admin's history of hiring FB coaches since Fulmer, I don't really have any confidence a new coach search would do anything but sink the program further into the abys. Understand all the Pruitt hate and some of it is deserved but like it or not, IMO sticking with Pruitt is still the best course for now.

How many coaching hires did it take Bama to get to Saban after Gene Stallings who won a Natl. Chsp? 4 if you count Price. That said, i have little faith in Fulmer, the Ath. Dept. or the mega boosters.

Brother, you know there’s guys on here that think if you throw a few bucks around that UT could get any coach they want

Man, I get it. I'm just saying TN is stuck in a very rough spot right now. Financially, it wouldn't a good move either. I want a top tier coach, but we got what we got for now.
