Does anyone know if CLK has contacted Bryce Petty?

After Boyd spent all that time practically demanding a meeting with CLK, then getting sacked, I don't think Bryce will use that approach. He's probably just being patient and letting the play develop.

Lets hope not. He needs to get a big time QB next year. We have enough 3* trash at QB already.

You would think Kiffin or one of the other guys have contacted Petty by now. If he hasn't at least left him a voicemail, then he is probably trying to send this kid a message. I am not sure what else it would be. It doesn't take long to make at least make a phone call.

Wow, you seem pretty sure about this, have you gone to see him play? Or are you just saying this based on nothing?
I can't count how many times on here that I have heard that stars don't matter. Then people just dismiss a recruit because he is not a 4 or 5 star recruit.

I think people are down on Petty because he had a bad senior year. And they have good reason to be skeptical. Passing for 4 TD's and 8 INT's is not a good sign. I think he might have missed a few games to injury. I still feel okay with him. Being a TX QB he can't be all bad. At least you wouldn't think.

Sounds like a great kid:

"Petty said he hasn’t concerned himself with the idea that he might not fit into Kiffin’s plans.

“I really haven’t given it much thought just with what Coach Michael has said and talking to him quite a bit,” Petty said. “But there is that possibility that happens and if it does it does and that’s what’s supposed to happen."

What an awesome attitude.

Kiffin has not contacted Petty as of yet. Our TE coach called Petty today 12-9-08 and Petty said he expects to meet with him this week or next but wasn't sure if Kiffin would be there as well. The kid seems very excited to meet or at least hear from Kiffin so i suppose we will wait and see what transpires.

Petty said he likes the idea of being the only quarterback in UT’s 2009 class.

“It’s actually really cool,” Petty said. “I think from what Coach Michael said (Kiffin is) still looking for another pro-style quarterback. Right now, it gives me confidence.”

It is going to be interesting to see what big dogs Kiffin goes after isnt it? I still say he goes after Aaron Murray hard. Possibly Ryan Mossakowski, the Kentucky commit from Texas.
