This morning on WIVK they said that Neyland Stadium was transitioning to orange turf. Am I the only one who thinks this is an April Fools joke?

If changing the turf was as easy as converting an arena floor, it would be neat for a game/year or something; but I don't think I would want to see orange turf year round.

I think it's an April fools joke. It would be a step backwards from the natural turf.

Everyone's a funny guy today. I would be all down for that though. It would literally make opposing fans vomit

Turf must be green from now on if installed, it's an NCAA rule. This is definitely a joke.

link? This is not true, the NCAA rule part. There's a school (Eastern Washington I think) getting red turf this season. It just has to be approved by your conference and the ncaa.

You guys realize the LSU thing is a April Fools joke too right? the article came out today... Surprise? One of the quotes was, "I see a future where there is no grass." Really?! lol.

And to the guy who said that two ppl believed the orange grass thing, one who said really!?,,, The really?! was me but if you look to what I quoted, I was being a smartass, not serious. Say really to yourself, but not like asking "really?", more like asking, "really, are you that stupid?"

An orange turf might be the step up this new team needs. Imagine, orange turf, orange jerseys, orange pants, orange socks, orange shoes, orange helmets.

Exactly. However the qb would have to know the reciever's routes intimately which is a good thing because the dbacks and linebackers couldn't find them.

It got at least 2 people... lol The original poster, and another 'really?!"

My understanding is that Boise St was grandfathered in, but the NCAA created a rule against colored turf after their ill-fated decision. I'm pretty sure we couldn't do it even if we were foolish enough to want it.

This is true
