This morning on WIVK they said that Neyland Stadium was transitioning to orange turf. Am I the only one who thinks this is an April Fools joke?

Anyone who doesn't think that its not a fool's joke is a complete moron....Of course there is a fair share of them on here :cool:

Of course it is an April Fool's joke. If today were November 20th, that would still have to be an April Fool's joke.

It's an April fool's joke. there is no way, that real grass field is 16 years in the making, and we sucked on turf. Plus, that would be really ugly, I love orange, I wear something Tennessee orange everyday of my life but I dont think I could even watch a game with an orange field, it would be blinding

I know for a fact that UT officials visited Boise State last week to examine their field and get references regarding their turf supplier.

My understanding is that Boise St was grandfathered in, but the NCAA created a rule against colored turf after their ill-fated decision. I'm pretty sure we couldn't do it even if we were foolish enough to want it.

dude obviously a joke... no one in their right mind would think that looked good.... however, the last staff tried to make us usc so maybe this staff wants to make us boise lol

Turf must be green from now on if installed, it's an NCAA rule. This is definitely a joke.

I would make the field brown/white, change my school colors to brown/white then you could't tell who had the ball.

No, it's true and not only that there are rumors that Peyton Manning's portrait will be the logo at midfield.
