Does anyone else get the feeling....

CLK really caught Georgia off guard. No one in that stadium thought we'd be throwing the ball, never the less effectively. Play action worked to perfection.

This one is hard to call but bama has to respect both the run and pass given our success two weeks ago. That will open up a lot of lanes and help Crompton have success early. With a little help from special teams and turnovers this could be a big upset. My best guess...Tennessee by 3 on a late field goal.

If our defense can get some turnovers and points, and Crompton's meds are working, I think we win. But I'm still thinking his performance against GA won't be repeated against AL.

If Crompton completes passes when he has an open man, and we stay out of 3rd and long. We have a great shot, I do not doubt our defense in the slightest.

I think the vibe is totally different for the Bama. There was nobody pickin us to stay close to Florida let alone beat them however, a few analysts have put this game on upset alert.

I think all the cards are in place for an upset...With the extra week of game planning and preparing the guys for a hostile environment, both sides will have an excellent game plan....I think we will pull the upset as long as Crompton shows up

I am far less concerned about jc than I am the receivers. bama is extremely physical in man coverage... and uga was really the first time those guys showed up all year.

if they get open and are on time I believe crompton will get it there just like he has the last three weeks.

I've looked over the individual National Stats, and can't find but one Bama player listed in the top 100, and in several catagories. That's out of their front seven. yet, they are still listed as #1 in team defense. Maybe it's YPG that gets them up there. Look for yourself at ncaastats.com and see. We have McCoy and Berry listed several times, and Walker in sacks.

I haven't looked at the individual stats, but as a team, Bama is No. 1 in total defense (average yards allowed per game), No. 4 in scoring defense, No. 3 in rushing defense (allowing just 63 yards per game), and No. 12 in passing defense (UT's defense is actually better on this one, I think). Bama has intercepted 10 passes so far, UT 5.

Bama's offense is No. 21 (average yards per game). UT is 48.

OK, I've done my stat duty. Are they meaningless? We'll find out tomorrow.

Bama's corners must be strong, because they're certainly not very big. I think this is one area a team could expose them if they have enough time to find the open guy. Physical or not, a bigger receiver should be able to out muscle those smaller corners.

That's your biggest worry - Crompton having two weeks to plan and think.

Our biggest worry is Crompton. Period

Next worry is that Javier Arenas will do a Brandon Warren circa 2008 and take one to the house

Just keep backing our BIG ORANGE!!!!!!!!!.We have as good a chance to win as Bama does. It will be a tough game.Win or lose it will be another step to getting our Vols back where they are expected to be. We are still short handed in spots and Bama playing some D (our ground game has a tough job) and they have a hellava ground game. We are not showing up to lay down. The staff I'm sure has a winning game plan.We catch a couple turnovers on them and Crompton doesn't have any we will whoop that Bama Butt. Go BIG ORANGE.

I think the vast majority feels that the D will keep this game closer than it should be - according to the experts and spread.

And depending on which offense shows up this game could be a huge upset.

If the team that beat Georgia made the trip to Tuscaloosa, the Tide is in for a longggggggggggggg day!

I hope you are right.

BTW, when I said "physical"... you could also interpret that "cheap and dirty". Many times they just flat out hold and get away with it.
