Does anyone else get the feeling that alot of people have the same kind of feeling towards this game that they had towards the Florida game as far as most of the media goes?? From the sounds of it, a lot of people, much like the Florida game that we don't even know need to make the trip down that the game is over before it gets started.... I think if we played badly against Florida and hadn't kept it close with them it would have been a lot worse than it is....I will say this though, just saw Kirk Herbstreit on SportsCenter and he said he wouldn't be surprised if we kept it close, no mention of a W but Kirk was giving us a little love...Thoughts???

I think the vast majority feels that the D will keep this game closer than it should be - according to the experts and spread.

And depending on which offense shows up this game could be a huge upset.

I think all the cards are in place for an upset...With the extra week of game planning and preparing the guys for a hostile environment, both sides will have an excellent game plan....I think we will pull the upset as long as Crompton shows up

This will be a great game, no doubt. We've had two weeks to heal and prepare. Look for us to establish the pass early to loosen up the Tide secondary and prevent them from stacking 8 on the line of scrimmage. I wouldn't be surprised to see a play attempt similar to Manning to Joey Kent on the famous Play #1 in Tuscaloosa.

I dont think the majority is picking us to get killed like they were when we played Fl. Ive heard alot of the media say, some which I think are UT haters, that it will be alot closer than people think. That includes Skip Bayless and Mark Schlabaugh!

The bye week, certainly helps our preperation
We could upset them

with 3 keys

- Stop Ingram
- Crompton plays well
- We don't turn the ball over

Or on the MORE famous Manning to Joey Kent play? haha Just giving you a hard time.

If Crompton shows up I think we win! Monte has had 2 weeks to be prepared for Bamas run game. Gonna be a great game!! To bad we have to listen to Verne for 3+ hours :swoon3:

I kind of wouldn't mind, just to see if it would losen that D up a little bit, if we take a big shot down field first play of the game....Maybe a little play action or something...If its not there don't force it but they are going to be expecting a run first play of the game JMO

I have perceived a completely different vibe from the media and even Bama fans. Undoubtedly based predominantly on the solid performance against UF and the uga massacre, most believe the game will be competitive and close with Bama uncomfortably pulling way at the end. Personally, very little in college football makes sense to me this year. I am very hesitant to predict any performance or outcomes in any games.

I think we can stop Ingram.. And I think we can balance him with Hardesty... In my mind, In hinges in Crompton's performance and keeping the rock like you said..

That's impossible. ESPN and Kirk HATE us, didn't you get the memo? Kirk must have confused us with Texas...

I hope all of you are right, but our lack of depth at defensive line will pose a problem with controlling Ingram. That bama offensive line is HUGE and them leaning on our boys all game will take its toll.

I think the bottom 2 kind of go hand in hand.....I think even if Ingram does have a good game, we can still win the game, Crompton just has to play smart football

verne is just bad luck. If he mentions a bad scenario on a play... it happens.

You can bet that Verne will find a way to bring up Tebow! He has a dirty ol man crush on him in the worst way. Ive never heard anyone babble on about someone else in my life!

I haven't heard any of the same garbage that I heard before the UF game. Maybe the media learned their lesson after they were made to look like fools when the gators didn't kill us like they all said was without a doubt going to happen.

A big part of the UF game hype from the media was because of Kiffin taking jabs at cryer and he hasn't done that to Saban.

Can someone please volunteer to punch Gary Danielson in the face. That guy just looks like a little weasel!
