I find it very satisfying that USC is ranked outside of the top 10 now per Rivals. All that X has done is lose a commitment, maybe didn't fit their system, while Dooley is rolling in some good players and we are now ranked 7th on Rivals.

You're right. I think they were #8 yesterday. I wonder who they lost? I'm still worried that USC will steal some of our commits come signing day.

Don't know, I tried to find out but didn't see an article about anyone decomitting. They have some nice players left on the board, but i don't think they will pull anyone like that big o-lineman henderson. I think we will end up with Ambles.

Not wanting to say much about it until AFTER signing day but yes I do get some satisfaction by seeing UT ahead of USC in recruiting at the moment at Rivals and Scout. :clapping:

Oh yeah...might as well say this first because you know it's coming....

Let it go. :eek:lol:

They lost Giovanni Di Paola, a 4* C, and he is rumored to be a UCLA lean now.

USC and X can kiss my azz but your crazy if you think we finish with a higher ranked class than USC!

I could care less about USC. We should worry about the teams we play year in and year out. I am more concerned with trying to beat Fla, Ala, Ga, etc., if we do not keep up with them in the recruiting wars. We cannot continuously relying on outcoachiong these teams in order to win.

Alright, I knew this was coming so I will defend myself once and that is it since I HAVE let it go. I was thrilled to hear X was gone. If he would've stayed, we would've been on probation in a couple of years. I am all about Dooley. Underrated coach, phenominal recruiter, class act, and he is from the south. I just think it is great that so many made a big deal about X's efforts last year, and Dooley has done the same thingin just under 3 weeks. Now we are ahead (for the time being) of the "mighty mighty" Trojans. I guess guys really do want to wear our yellow jerseys.

To be perfectly honest with you, I'm only concerned about how we finish. They're gone, so let's let them be gone. CDD and co. seem to be doing a fine job.

Great, they don't have 1 OL commit at this point. I am sure that they will close with Green and others but since their basic line is "you're going to be the next Reggie Bush" maybe they don't have a lie/come-on for the linemen.

It is a shame that they can't lose all their commits. They also only have one commit East of the Rockies.

Look at who they've got committed rather than the numbers that are committed. Big difference. We and others are only outranking them because of the numbers. They are cherry picking. But, I still like what DD has done and I'd much rather have him than X.

I like the looks of that Propst kid that we pulled in. From the looks of his GPA, he could probably be the QB of our defense at middle linebacker after we lose Reveiz. I'll take a smart guy running 4.6 over an idiot running 4.5.

Trust me...that was tongue in cheek and total sarcasm which I was hoping would be evident since I did first answer your question...but you knew it was coming so it might as well have been from someone posting it while laughing instead of one of these way to serious posters with an attitude. :good!:

USC and the PAC-10 are apples, UT and the SEC are oranges. Vol fans ought to conduct ourselves in such a way as to provide the least publicity as possible to anyone seeking it at our expense. There are people who moved from Knoxville to LA recently to which this applies.

Don't forget about Kiffin's "Silent commits". They are all about "splash and flash" out there on the left coast. Whatever makes headlines for them is good.

First off i really like what Dooley has done. If he gets Glass and Stone for the O line and Rogers or Ambles at wr then you couldnt ask for more. I just dont see how these kids parents can let Kiffin and Ed O in their liveing rooms and sit there and lie to them/ seems their credibility is shot to me.

Well said! Worry about what needs we fill, not the precise finish in the rankings. However, no matter how well we do, X- will say it's only because of what he did before he left. He's just that kind of a weasel. My apologies to weasels everywhere.

Does it really matter cause Kiffin wins either way. If UT's class finishes in the top 8 Kiffin and co will say it's because of the ground work they laid. If we finish lower, then Kiffin says it's because we are missing him and his staff's recruiting. So frankly I could give a flying fart where USC finishes. As long as we have addressed our needs then it's all good as far as I'm concerned.

there really isnt that big of a difference between the #5 class and the #10 class. As long as we are getting what we need I'm happy.
