Does anybody on VN have any solid information.....?

......as to whether there will be a coaching change after this pathetic game? This gets embarrassing week after week. A mid major puts up 721 yards of offense and all the coaches can do is throw their hands up in the air.
Surely Hart will make a change or announce Dooley's time is done on Monday. I watched snipets of the game on my computer, and heard the announcers state that Neyland was nowhere near capacity. Looked like tons of empty seats, and that was never the case during the Majors/Fulmer years during HC.
Would like to know what VN thinks.....

stupid question. Please tell me you dont think there are any "real insiders" on here???

I swear how many times am I going to hear, "if Dooley loses the next one he's gone." Dooley is a joke and incompetent!! We are Tennessee and we have standards, 7 wins is not up to par!! Thanks

some "insiders" will come out and proclaim that "a decision has been made" and will be "announced" soon.

I'm what people around here call an "insider". I have consistently provided solid info that is passed along to me from a janitor in the athletics building.

A decision has been made and it will be announced soon. Be patient. Presser will be Monday at 3PM.

As proof of my source, a few weeks ago do you remember when it was rumored that Dooley had corn for lunch of Thursday? My guy was the one who was able to confirm that was true. Even gave me some pics.

Dooley's overall evaluation: yes the offense and running game made improvements but the defense is in shambles....so overall is there really any "so called progress"....my take is no not really overall

Ok lets say we win out and go 7-5 (not probable) will there still be support for Dooley and folks saying we made progress and won 2 more SEC games? I'm concerned this may indeed be the case....another give him more time theme.....scary really scary

What if this scenario was playing out at a different school other than UT? One in which we were not emotionally attached? If we were watching the highlights on ESPN, how many would claim that so and so coach was history. I'd be willing to bet most of us wouldnt be shocked if a coach with the same history and performance as Dooley was fired mid-season. So why is it so hard to imagine that the same wouldnt happen to CDD?

Here's the deal, and its really quite simple:
UT Admin higher ups want DD to stay at least for another year;
UT Big Money people (not all but a majority of the power brokers) want him gone and have offered their financial support to make it happen.
Hart is caught in between these two factions, and must have the support of both to make something happen.
Hence, the season continues to play out and how it does will give one side or the other the leverage to get their way. Dooley wins out, he is likely safe for another year; Dooley loses one more game and the Admin may not have a choice but to cave.
Cheek is the face of the Admin side and its clear he doesnt want to plug the trigger now.
How Cheek handles this could (and should) certainly affect his future at UT.

if UT waits till the end of the season to announce a coaching change, it could be diasterous to the program depending if a new coach is in the wings waiting to be announced cause in the case its not, we will be getting the leftovers of the coaches noone picked up and we will be right back to square one yet again....we cant let that happen!!! SOMEONE needs to speak up and tell Hart that mediocrity will NOT be acceptable at UT!!!!!

We need a big name coach ready to take over at seasons end because of recruiting. If recruits think CDD is staying or don't know who coach is, they will look elsewhere.

If we have Chucky or Peterson or Strong ready to take over, then we get better rated recruits coming to Knoxville.

Prediction: Obama for 4 more years and Dooley for 1. Write it down.

That's a doomsday prediction for America if I ever saw one.

America will bankrupt, our dollar will be toilet paper and riots in the streets for food will be a everyday thing.

Football won't be a worry because there won't be any football anymore since the dollar will be worth nothing.

Without football millions of Americans will storm the stadiums carrying a mattress to burn on the 50 yard line.

LOL!!!

VFL...GBO!!!

I think (that means that the only inside information is in my own mind) that barring a collapse there will be no new head coach in 2013.

Anyone who thinks we will not lose at least 1 more game has not watched this team play, the way we are playing on defense we may not win another game this season.
