You are missing what actually happened. He slammed the headset b/c someone told him the local Krispy Kreme was robbed by a 300lb white guy that ran like heck when they called the cops. Dooley has a secret sweet tooth.

At least he wasn't clapping after a loss.

Nice to see some real emotion on the sideline after the Clappinator and then Captain Smirk.

I like the way coach Dooley gets fired up!! I have great respect for coach fulmer and I will always be a coach fulmer supporter but he was not the energetic type. He was old school he was the last of the old breed that's the generation he came from and that's who he took after in his coaching style. But IMO some people handle things different coach Dooley go's ape s*** (which I like because I go ape s***) coach fulmer was a southern gentleman that took the high road and handled things with class. That's my opinion, y'all have yours lol

at the games i been to he is constently throwing his headset and going off. sometimes he is cussing refs out sometimes he is trying to fire up his players. seems like if he had his headsets on he would communicate with his coaches better on gameday. hence- we wouldn't have confusion every week.

Sad post.

I guess he should just say aww shucks and clap his hands and pat the ref on the arse. Nice to have a good young energentic coach. He and the team will only get better and I wouldn't trade Dooley at this point for anyone. All this coaching change is a BIG BIG blesing and in a couple of years I will not even have to explain it, it will be thee for all to see! GO BIG ORANGE!
how about that sticky icky?

I'm proud to have DD do whatever he does instead of grimacing and clapping his hands.

I guess we need an over weight coach, stand on the side lines and clap with no emotion...workling like heck...

You mean the same stuff that Nick Saban does, or Bob Stoops, or Brian Kelly, or Chip Kelly, or Jim Harbaugh?..I said it in another forum-if you can't handle a college coach in this era getting fired up grow the eff up or start watching tennis.

At least he's coaching with some fire and passion. Do you think none of the other NCAA coaches have never done the same thing? Why don't yout get off this board and go follow some grade school flag football team.

This is a prime example of why there needs to be an IQ test before you're allowed to post on this board.

I wasn't talking about the last play. I meant every play all yr.

He throws his headset and cusses every play?

Someone has an agenda. Is this one of the talking points you Fulmer supporters came up with this week?

Mouth breather.

That's probably going too far.

I hope not and hope he's right. If we keep having to change coaches it means we're still not winning, and I'm on my way to stomach ulcers. Our motto over the last 2 years should be "GOT TUMS?" lol

Why is everyone being so negative toward the OP? I think it's a great point.

Just kidding. I don't follow the line of thought either.

Nothing says focus better than an angry head coach. With or with out a head set.

It's about time Freak addressed the bashing issue. This site is great but it is getting a little ridiculous with a lot of the members' attitudes. It takes away from the site IMO. If someone makes a thread that you have no interest in, simply move on. Why waste your time posting negativity? But I guess that requires maturity. Something a lot on this site lack greatly. Small mindedness is always a killer.

Incorrect response: You are a dumb*ss. The bashing is what makes the site great. Don't be such a pansy; obviously you're not a true fan.

Better/Best response: This is an excellent post and it's obviously well thought out and heartfelt. I must respectfully disagree with you sir. To follow your logic regarding small mindedness I would argue that being open minded (as opposed to small minded) about personal bashing would lead one to conclude that it is an acceptable form of expessing oneself. After all, assuming that one point of view regarding bashing and negativity is right and another is wrong is, in and of itself, small mindedness.

I myself like the fact that he is firey and involved. I just wonder if he should also not trust his coaches as much and be listening to what they are doing and what plays they are calling. Maybe he is so into the players he missed that his own coaches are messing up. This is two games in a row that we DID have substitution problems. SO I look at it as if the refs would have caught us in the uab game we lose two games do to our coaches. That's my poinbt. dd please monitor your coaches better. Maybe you didn't make the best hires and you have some idiots under you. Go VOLS!!!

Wait what? In the UAB game the problem was that we only had 10 men on the field. Unless they've changed the rules in the past couple of days, I'm pretty sure that's allowed...albeit not that smart. So that wouldn't have cost us the game.

Would you rather him stand there and clap?

hmmm...yeah...he shouldn't show any emotion. He shouldn't get excited or angry. That just makes him seem like a fan or a person.
