Does anyone outside of his agent and his immediate family really consider Arenas a superstar?

So is Allen Iverson not a superstar either?
Allen Iverson has an MVP trophy and a trip to the Finals on his resume. Other than a bunch of points scored on teams that have ranged from bad to decent, exactly what has Arenas ever done? I'm pretty sure that everyone who was paying attention noticed that the Wizards survived just fine without him this year. He's the third best player on his own team. Unless you're on the '87 Lakers, that's a pretty good indication you're not a superstar.

Arenas is a nice addition but I think it would be foolish to call him a superstar. He absolutely cannot carry a team.

He's a star with a superstar's personality, which is part of being a superstar. He's not a franchise player, but he's in the category of the second-tier guys that, with the right franchise guy and supporting cast, I believe could help a team to a title. To me he's a more marketable Ray Allen. I probably went too far as to call him a definite superstar, but he's as much a superstar as T-Mac IMO, who has underperformed in the playoffs and whined his way out of Orlando and into second-tier star status in the L.

not a chance. T-Mac might have disappeared a lot in playoff games, but he is a dramatically better overall player than Arenas.

I agree that T-Mac is the better player but they're in the same category when it comes to franchise players and second-tier stars. They both need to play with a franchise guy to get to the next level in this league. T-Mac can no longer be discussed in the same category as Duncan, Kobe, Lebron, Paul, Garnett, and Nash.

No. he's a clueless, conscience free gunner. He has the personality of exactly what he is: An idiot.

I'm not going to argue with you when it's clearly obvious you have a personal vendetta against Gilbert for some reason. I personally find him amusing, and think that he has worked extremely hard to prove his naysayers wrong at every level. This is a case that is exactly like JP Prince with you. You personally do not like him, therefore, he a horrible basketball player and human being in your eyes.
