Need a good laugh? Read what Scarborough wrote....

SEC Week 12 college football predictions - ESPN

"Why Kentucky wins: If Justin Worley were still Tennessee's QB, I'd feel differently. If the Vols' offensive line had shown more improvement, I'd wonder about this pick. But I can't change those things. Kentucky is just better. Its defense, with playmakers Bud Dupree, Za'Darius Smith and A.J. Stamps, should force Dobbs into a few bad plays. So long as Patrick Towles is careful with the football, Kentucky should be able to run effectively and score enough points. Kentucky 35, Tennessee 34 -- Alex Scarborough "

I don't know what's more sad...

The fact that he said this or the fact that he gets paid to say this.

Fans are getting so funny. I expect Tenn. to win But we could also lose if we have a bad day.

If you look at the very bottom of the article that you referred to, you will see that Scarborough has a 69 - 19 record when picking the outcome of S.E.C. football games.

His record is better, statistically better than his co-hosts.

Not saying we will lose the game; doudt we will lose especailly after a bye week and playing at home, but
scarborough does have the better record of predicting the outcome of games.

This is pretty funny. Its almost as if someone dared him to write the most innacurate analysis he could think of just to see if he could get it posted.

Read it again, his record is only better than ONE of the others picking. :good!:

I dunno... unless people think we're gonna pull a Florida. UF, UK and Vandy-- those are the games where we have tended to lose in head-scratching fashion the past few years.

Huh?

Standings

Edward Aschoff 71-17
David Ching 71-17
Chris Low 71-17
Alex Scarborough 69-19
Sam Khan Jr. 66-22

It's just his opinion. We won't know until Saturday who is right. His logic certainly looks flawed but we'll see.

It's almost like she hasn't watched us play all year, and especially since Dobbs has been in.

Ummm.... about that.

Personally, I think they make sure someone goes against everyone else just for entertainment/drama value.

That you can read that and see anything but gibberish is a testament to the fact that you're completely lacking a bullsh*t filter. You should have been tipped off that they have no clue what they're talking about when it begins by suggesting that Worley would have helped give us the win, but that Dobbs will be our downfall. Yeah...0 TD's in Worley's last two SEC games, and 8 in first Dobb's 7 quarters. That really shows us how much worse off we are with Dobbs clogging up our offense.

And, as people have pointed out - it also references Kentucky's defense as likely causing problems for us. It's really like everything Scarbrough actually typed out was turned into it's opposite by the editors. Or Alex is just an idiot.

I would check your math. To me it looks like he is only better than 1, and worse than 4. Or to say it another way, his ability to pick games is bottom-third among his peers. Although, being correct 78% of the time is not bad at all, at least when compared against the general population.

Greg Ostendorf 73-15 (83%)
Edward Aschoff 71-17 (81%)
David Ching 71-17 (81%)
Chris Low 71-17 (81%)
Alex Scarborough 69-19 (78%)
Sam Khan Jr. 66-22 (75%)

Of note, the top two thirds of pickers all picked UT.

I am curious though, I only see about 42 SEC games played this season, where did the other 46 games come from if this is supposed to be about picking SEC games?

"Kentucky is just better" in his own opinion. Kentucky fans don't even feel that way. Have fun eating some crow Alex!

His logic is flawed. We may see the inconsistent Dobbs at some point. I still think he's a better option at QB than Worley.. Worley was like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole with this offense. It just didn't work when we started playing better defenses..

I'd want to know his record in close games that weren't gimme's ala Bama vs. podunk state etc.
