Does a 7-9 SEC record get us a NCAA bid?

more searing insight from the geeky non-athletic type. trying to turn coach-speak garbage into something you're willing to quote will rarely win you any kudos from those with even a modicum of understanding.

If I follow your line of thought here, and I think I do ...

LG's in love with emoticons today! (easier than words?) And clearly a little puffed up from recent successes for FL athletics - These are good times in Gainesville to be sure, but yeah, history has proven these runs don't last forever, so enjoy it while you can.
My two cents about the newspaper thing is that we were doing it in the mid-70's, so perhaps it was old (and certainly not original) when FL was doing it in the mid-80's. I haven't seen it done at TBA at games I've been to (not many), I hope we're not still doing it... it was lame in the 70's!

1) I am absolutely certain of two things. First, if the roles were reversed between the two athletic programs then it would be the UT fans on here rubbing my nose in it, rather than the other way around. Second, it is inevitable as these things go that one day the roles will, in fact, be reversed.

2) Hatvol claimed the other day that your fans were still doing the newspaper-thing. Hence my mocking of you for that little tidbit.

No, I know, I totally agree with you - just wasn't sure you realized FL's run didn't start at the dawn of time. Also read about Hatvol saying that - that's why I said I'm not sure if we're still doing it (I wouldn't just take his word for it since he can be ... shall we say, a tad negative!) And tho' I've never been to a Gator board, I'm sure many on here have and many more would, if roles were reversed right now!

I've been here, in one form or another, for awhile. And in fact well before the current national championship trophies were on the UF mantle.

I taunt. I get taunted. Its just the circle of life.

It is, sadly, inevitable ...
funny though, our stint in this cycle never seems to be long enough. i for one am longing for a similar dominant run against UF as they had against us in the 90's. that would make me happy. this thing where you beat us 3-4 years in row, then we win 1 or 2 is getting old.

having said all of that......it's got to start first. so this coming September would be just fine with me:thumbsup:
