Ridiculous it came to this if true. If Haslam/Currie hadn't targeted a buddy hire in Schiano from the beginning and actually did a real search offering up to $7m we likely would've landed a quality HC.

Instead they botched this as bad as humanly possible and are now relegated to hiring someone on par or worse than Butch.

That said, I would hope fans don't take it out on Doeren. Can't blame him for trying to better himself. But Haslam/Currie need to go.

I really hate to be this way and you can take shots at me and call me a bandwagon fan if you want, but I am gonna take this one with a "prove it to me" attitude from afar. I refuse to get emotionally invested and buy into the magical fantasy of this guy coming here and winning! If he does then I'll be happy, if he doesn't then so be it. My Big Orange heart has been crushed too much of late for me to give a crap anymore. Flame away guys, I don't care. Just keep me posted next season while I'm in Jeff city watching "my" Carson Newman eagles!!
