has anyone thought that NC State knows we are desperate so they put out this offer to try to get Currie to counter with a deal so large that there is no way Doeren turns it down?

Doeren isn't coming now that he used UT to once again get a coach a raise. So, now it's back to the "Coach of the Day" game that we've been doing for the last week.

Willie Taggert can get it done. Don't look at the Ducks record and pass judgement. Who's players do you think Strong is using to get him on his feet at USF? Taggerts

He'd do well in the SEC. He can recruit Florida and Goergia well, plus he'd bring in a good staff.

I don't like the Kiffin enamor all of a sudden. He had the job but left on his own, and on top of that right before signing day. He's a great coach, but we need a coach who understands "TENNESSEE WAY". How things are done. What it means to wear the T. The traditions, the history, and Kiffin doesn't get that. He sees it as opportunity, but this is about embracing out history and storied program and hiring someone who KNOWS US.

This is the south..the SEC..and this Tennessee football...not MTSU..not UTC..
We are talking about the second most profitable program in the country.

God forbid we voice the expectations that should come with being one of the top most profitable schools in the country..remind me who makes it the money cow that it is??

You know, it's funny to me how some people are losing their minds as they see other schools, who we deem to be lower on the premier program list as Tennessee, hiring coaches while we're left spinning our wheels and playing the dating game but not getting any takers. There is one colossal difference. None of those programs have the athletic department issues that we do. Yeah, yeah, Captain Obvious, I know. But we are just not in a position to be picky. We'll be lucky to find anyone at all that want's to hop on this one way ticket to #130 in the nation, but who knows...

This guy as I have said is "Botch" Jones part 2. His freaking record is 33 -30 at NC State and 15 - 25 in the conference for Christ's sake. I do not care about NIU. ACC is a fair comparison of performance against the SEC.

NC State does not want him.

People say this all the time when the administration screws the fans on a coaching hire. But if they hire him, we are all done.

Lucky that I do not live in Knoxville and have to listen to it everyday.

We all have differing opinions on who our coach should be. However, it does not escape me that on the initial post in this thread notifying us of the offer to Dumba$$ Doeren not one single like. You know why? Because he's a damn loser. We get it, why can't they?

Because they DO NOT want a winner. They (being Haslam and the admin) want a yes-man idiot stooge in the position, and no successful coach is going to be that.

Doeren is a worthless hire and his sorry ass will go- at best- 3-9 next season if he is at Tennessee. Book that.

Obviously there is something seriously wrong on THE HILL with the Administration. Offering that amount to Gundy and no one else knocks on the door? The Haslams...Currie... This has gotten to be unbearable. I don't see why they don't call up Les Miles. A proven winner at LSU, available, QUALIFIED, has competed successfully in the SEC. #Doreanwho?
