Oh I'm with you on the outrage is real. Let me ask you this, if your kid acts up in public does he get what he wants? NO, but money flow drying up will get you what you want. This is leaving a bad look on the University and the fanbase making it difficult if not impossible in the future to hire upper class coaches. Just stay calm and cut off the damn flow! You want Haslams out and things fixed this is the only way it will get done.

You and I had this discussion a while back. You do not fire butch Jones in year 5 unless you have a proven winner, who WILL take the job, sitting in your back pocket.

They never should have fired Butch. They never should have let talk of firing Butch begin to circulate. You do not fire butch to hire a brohm, a shiano, or a Doeren. Their track record is about like Butch's.

Go Dave Doeren! I hope you are the right hire and save this football program from many many years of bad decisions.

I am NOT a fan of Doeren at all.... BUT I will say NC State's record is not that bad this year

Brohm is a homerun compared to Doeren. It is not unrealistic for the fans to demand a decent coach and decent person to lead this program. Doeren is neither.

Louisville defensive was a sieve this year
Pitt is really bad, Miami is overrated

Louisville is his best win in a down year for them.
I watched him a couple times this year and he stinks. He made mind numbing calls at ND . Plus after a few games this year he whiled about refs, computers and not fair conditions.

No, this is not impressive. He has at least two NFLers on defense and a QB that will be drafted this season. So next year he will return to the hot seat.

I grew up near Raleigh, so we went to tons of State games when I was a kid. I still follow them a little, but that's mostly just because my dad is a big fan of theirs.
I can say their year this year wasn't bad until that Wake Forest loss. That's when it was evident that Doeren is very similar to Butch Jones. I even joked with pops about that at the time. Told him he had the ACC version of CBJ.
I give him about a 10% chance of making it through his contract with Tennessee.

I've been going to UT games since 1967, I think I'll find something else to occupy my time. I agree you Fulmer haters got him fired and killed UT football. Hammy, Alabamer Hart, and now kanas Currie and Davenport along with crooked jimmy haslam have doomed UT football

You do realize that this years NCST team was loaded with seniors and they will probably not be nearly as good next year. Dorean is trying to get out now while he can score a bigger job. You should also note that he beat a FSU team that lost their starting qb and Louisville lost a ton of talent around Lamar Jackson. His record is deceiving. They were a decent team but Dorean isn’t going to turn UT around. He is not much better than Butch Jones. It would be another 4-5 years of cellar dwelling, hoping to beat Vandy and Kentucky, and we are looking for another coach.

I hate to say it, but this botched coaching search has made me jaded towards Tennessee football. Never though that I would feel this way but all that I can do is laugh.
