I live in grand isle la so as far as I know it's the only vol sports radio I can get...that being said...several people that called in sounded like they wanted to give Dooley another year.....really???? Is this the majority???? Thoughts???

The Fans in NW Charlotte area seem to be OK with giving it another year or waiting till the end of this year before putting in their opinion.

But most of them are over the age of 18 unlike most posters on this board.

Truthfully it depends on the friends you have. If they are high strung then all of them want him fired. If they carry patience then you will see the wait until the end of the year and look at the whole body of work.

Get the Tennessee Sports Radio app. Much better alternative with former UT players

I think a lot of folks are second guessing themselves. I mean looking back we are far worse now than if he had just kept Phil. Problem we have is just like Rex said the other day. Your damned if you do and if you dont. With the current money situation at UT. You would have to rely on the big boosters to get Dooley out and another coach in. And while we would like to think that some of the boosters would put the money up to get rid of Dooley. Thats not going to happen. While yes they would do it. It would have to be if they have a homerun hire confirmed. So unless they have found the homerun hire. Then why get rid of Dooley? For us to change coaches and not hit a homerun would be stupid.

Grand Isle? Do you fish a lot? Except for difficulty in keeping up with your school and team, sounds like fun place to live.

Of course, I stay out of the UT discussion. It will be interesting to watch Dooley's career whatever UT decides.

I don't know ,as bad as everything is with ut right now and as much as I don't like the show heather has been making a good point calling for heads to roll . That is a first for her .

If you're taking an objective look, I don't see how you demand change in any area other than defense. I know HE's the head man, so W/L falls on HIS shoulders, blah, blah, blah. But I honestly believe a defensive change is a better bet than a makeover.

I agree but While flipping through the channels the other morning she actually shut doc up and put him in his place talking about how bad cheek had made it there .

Basically that show is all about brown nosing the UT athletic department. They'll be all about keeping Dooley up until the exact moment he's actually fired. They don't even pretend to be anything but little self-serving sycophants. And they attract the same kind of morons as listeners too. Quite honestly, it's the worst sports talk show I've ever heard.

I agree with this... Heather would flourish if she ever was given a different opportunity, perhaps at TSR. She has strong opinions and if she was allowed to remove the orange colored glasses she has to wear while working on for the official mouthpiece station for UT AD/Admin, I think she could be someone who could stir conversation with strong opinions and perspective.
