Dobbs

North was out at Vandy and the other receivers didn't have it together.

That's not all on him.

People saying he'll never start aren't giving him enough credit.

Doesn't matter if the recievers were out the ball was thrown 20 yards over thier heads or infront of them or behind them.

Did you not watch the last 4 games lasr year? Dobbs isnt that good. If he were he'd be starting. Hell, hes 3rd string and on his way to being red shirted.

Stop second guessing the coaches. Worleys passing was all we had saturday night.

Thank you for critizing me, I was so wrong to second guess coach jones.. I will never ever second guess the coaching team ever again,,--- Oh wait I see I did't second guess the coaches. I have an idea why dont you climb out of that hotdog with mr myers and reread my original post and then you may continue your obession with mr weiners buns. :salute:

Oh bull hockey...The kid can't throw the ball 50 yards...He tried a hail mary against Vandy and it ended up around the 7 yardline...He is not ready to be a SEC qb....At all

That's nice to know. There is always a side to someone's personality that people may not know about! He would be a good future Vandy coach when Mason is fired.

That's funny because... He and Fulmer actually are buddies and when he got the Tech job, Fulmer called and said "Thank God. The whole SEC was afraid Vandy was going to hire you."

I understand that Worley is the starter and has earned his position as QB but would Dobbs scrambling abilty changed Oklahomas blitzing strategy. Worley was getting creamed why not go with the best sprinter. Not second guessing coach Jones just analyzing and wondering what would of happened.

Dobbs would have thrown 5 picks i bet. Running ability isnt everything

He gets a hell of a lot out of teams with little talent. GT has always had that problem because of stringent academic qualifications.

Worley continues to be a mediocre quarterback. (Sits last in the conference in passing efficiency, and will be at or near the bottom all year.)

But, neither Dobbs nor Peterman had any chance of taking the job no matter how they performed. Worley got all the first team reps from day one of spring practice.

I don't honestly understand why ther would be a thread like this... Worley played his ass off. I am proud he is a vol and honestly wish he had another year of eligibility! Of course quinten coming in isn't too bad either 😉

Odd. Could've sworn there was a video of him pinging one off the goal post 60 yards away.

Anyhow, he played the last two games with thigh and thumb injuries.

I have a bad feeling He still wont wind up quarterback in 2015 and will transfer for playing time. It's just a feeling I have. What do y'all think?

Dobbs is hopefully on track for his BSME in aerospace. While, yes he can transfer, I have to ask where?

No. No. No. Dobbs is our third string QB. Worley is playing like a man. You'd never see the Packers take out Brett Favre to put in a guy like Michael Vick. Worley isn't the problem. The O-Line--and the loser of a coach we had that didn't sign any OLs in 2012 when the SEC average is 3.97--is our problem. Besides, Peterman is very mobile. He's a lot like Tebow in that regard. If we wanted a mobile QB we'd put him in over Dobbs.

As you are well aware, Riley Ferguson was heir apparent to Worley and would have played against Fla in Gainesville last season except for the leg injury kept secret by our coaches and not allowing him to take his rightful spot as the scrambling QB of the new century. I also am not second guessing Coach Jones, but am also analyzing and wondering what would have happened if Fergie had not transferred away. He could have changed Oklahoma's blitzing strategy and was the best sprinter. Now, forgive me please, but I'm going out on the porch and chew the skin off all my knuckles.

Honest ? How can a softmore redshirt that played as a freshman without a medical?

There is no rule which stipulates that a redshirt can only be taken during the first year on campus. Travis Stephens took a redshirt in 1999 to put some separation between himself and Travis Henry and Jamal Lewis. Travis played briefly as a true freshman in 1997, more extensively as a true sophomore in 1998, sat out 1999, was the backup for Travis Henry in 2000 and then had a gargantuan redshirt senior year in 2001, highlighted by his extraordinary performance against Florida in the Swamp.

Some of these responses coupled with the responses about how slow and average Jalen Hurd is in the other thread remind me why I visit the FF less and less.

The Dobbs hating in this thread is unreal and there's clearly been very little thought put into the negative comments. I'm not even sure it's worth rationalizing with all the insanity. A true freshman playing 4 games in his very first season and there are idiots blaming him for the Vandy loss. Need I even remind you people of the Peterman Florida game?
